McShay's changing view on Tyler Booker

his point is would you draft a guard at 12 even if can guarantee he will be 10 year pro bowler,NFL teams have made this pick many many times in past drafts .

I don't normally pay attention to these guys, but I don't think he is being inconsistent.

He isn't arguing that Booker isn't a good player in the 2nd video. He is arguing with the value of Booker as the 12th pick, and I agree with him. What if the Cowboys did not take Booker at 12? Jonah Savaiinaea was taken by the Dolphins at 37. Would he have been there at 44 had the Cowboys passed on Booker? Of course we'll never know.

There are always these debates after the draft, and the fact is, as we all know, no one is right or wrong until we see these players put in a couple of years in the NFL.

I mean, there's no defense for this. Those clips are mere days apart.

Todd McShay is a guy who started his “ career “ renting / buying time with Dave Portnoy on local Boston radio.
He’s not an NFL scout or an ex jock.
He’s a half ***’d Mel Kiper.
He’s basically a blogger.

Book will be 2 times the player Jonah will be down in Miami.

Irony here is that he called Booker an "elite guard" that some team will have for the next decade. Then he went on to say the Cowboys could have gotten a guard at 44 but he didn't say it would be an "Elite" guard.

By the way, did McShay say who they should have taken at 12 instead of Booker?

It’s almost like half of you are intentionally ignoring his point. He’s not contradicting anything he said in the first video, he’s making a point about Dallas needing offensive skill position players way more than guard at 12 overall. The video was clipped to take him further out of context
Anyone they would have taken at 12 that was an offensive skill talent would have been a reach as well. So what's point then?

I could totally see him as high as being the second OL off the board.

Oh yeah, me too.

~ Booker is the 4th OL off the board. ~

I just don't get taking him that early.

Yeah, me either.
Since ESPN let him go, I think he’s struggling to remain relevant. And flippant hot-shot takes like this are an indicator of his desperation.

Sounds like he’s taking a page out of the Colin Cowherd playbook.

Yip. Like a shock jock

Wasn’t Warren viewed as a top 10 talent?
Dallas wasn't looking TE............. the rumors were RB or WR. Tet is he fell, Jeanty if he fell, some were pushing for Golden at WR and others were pushing for the RB from North Carolina. TE was never a real consideration.
