Me brothers, me mates. Who in the FO believed in and kept Rush on the roster?

I know one thing he would not clear waivers again. Rush as so many in the media has pointed out has done a lot to increase his value, regardless if it is Dallas or somewhere else he has made a lot of money for himself with how he has played
now, he will probably not clear waivers..... but that was my point, if everything is going gaga over this guy, some even dared to say Brady in the same sentence with Rush.....then somebody missed all that before they cut him. and so did 31 other NFL teams

I didn’t believe in him based on his preseason performances and arm strength

he’s overcoming that and so far and I was dead wrong in believing he’d couldn’t lead the team to 3 wins in a row, no matter who the competition was.

It is looking as if Rush had a powerful benefactor in the FO.

Me, I would have given Rush the boot every day he showed up. But Rush has won me over now.

Me questions:
1. Who saw this kind of talent in Rush?
2. Or was Rush, before Dak went out, just a JAG who played for cheap which suited Stephen just fine?
His talent is being highly overrated by this fanbase.

We didn't actually keep him on the roster. We cut him and signed him to the practice squad. So not sure anyone in the front office really believed in Rush.

Yes, Rush has surprised everyone...me included. I have to admit i had nothing good to say about him and thought of him as a jag.. a bit ignorant but that is how i felt. I am very happy he has proven me wrong. I am not saying he is Brady, Rodgers, Mahomes level....but he just seems to fit and run this offense, or drive this bus, the way it should be driven without stripping the gears. When you have a top defense, you want the kind of QB that does not make many mistakes or turnovers. And make plays when he has to. Even Jerry is shocked. I would really like the opportunity to see him against the next two opponents to see how he reacts to "top" teams. That's what the knock is on him right now from the Dak people. Never mind that the Cowboys keep winning. Will Jerry give him the chance?

Yeah I don't see Brady status at this point what I do see is a QB that can handle the moment, Dallas has put him in 4th down situation asking him to drop back and make plays and did it. I see him step up when he has had to do so. Yes for the most part Dallas has relied on defense to come up with these wins but when he has had to make the play just like yesterday when Dallas feel behind Rush as stepped up and made the plays.

Rush benefactor is Dak Prescott.
He lobbied for Rush over Gilbert because of how they operate during the week and in support of him. Dak loves Cooper.
People like that liked Rush most? Jason Garrett and Dak Prescott.

He didn't have to clear waivers because he was a vested vet.
Dallas took near zero risk with Rush who agreed to these moves as part of roster manipulation
Only after 3 elevations would he truly be exposed.
But he definitely earned a different level of respect now.

I like our commitment to run game. even yesterday against Commanders...we ran 27 times.....they defense has to respect the run game...and its also because they had to committ to stop the run game....they tried a few times to stop with just front 4 or less people committed and we had decent runs, so they had to committ more people to stop the run.

I agree, it served it purpose, allowing Rush to use play action

Rush was kept because the front office was trying to make Dak look good.

So machavalian ... yet so plausible, Watson! I sence diversions, deceit, collusion and deception.
Watson, it is raining. Let us get our rubbers on and go look for clues.
