Media loves Jerry

Some of you guys will never learn, 15 years and 1 playoff win and you still can't see the problem. Let me spell it out for you C-U-L-T-U-R-E, the wrong person is talking to the media, if it was Garrett I wouldn't have a problem.

no one said we couldn't see it.

we're just saying whining about it isn't going to change it.

ya'll make that some jacked up form of jones defense.

and yea, you'd have a problem sooner or later.

As an owner I love the guy, with the only exception being that he is way to tolerant of our GM

I've heard this a million times: JJ is a great owner but a bad GM. I don't think it is possible to be good in one and bad in the other. The owner hires the GM and tolerates his mistakes, etc. The GM doesn't justify the faith of the owner. Either they are both good or both bad but I don't know how one can be good and the other one bad.

See you were going good until this, again when you attack people that criticize Jones then you're defending him.

If you think Jones can't change then as a Cowboys fan your situation is hopeless, I mean why bother.

I think that we can win while Jerry owns the team, I just think that he needs to be pressured to bring about that change.

If the media thought like you, "well he won't change so why bother" then there would be no one to shed light on how he's running this organization.

It's good to have a critical media because they sometimes keep teams in check. Do you remember when Jerry was at the bar talking to those fans and he told them that he had to hire Bill Parcells because they were about to run him out of town and he wanted to get that stadium built.

If we had a non chalant media do you think he even cares who he hires. Tough media towns are NY, Philly, Boston and Chicago they put pressure on organizations to put a winner on the field not just collect money for just owning a team.

Poor guy has to be dragged kicking and screaming into the spotlight. Even worse, the mediots have the nerve to quote his controversial statements accurately. I feel sorry for him.

I'm with you on this one. I'm not a sheep. I'm not stupid. I also fall into the category of those who despise what Jerry Jones has done with the role of ownership when it comes to my favorite team. I cannot express how sick I get of seeing him and hearing him about things that he should not be the face and voice for, unless he is an absolute narcissist, which on some level, HE IS.

I am also realistic. He isn't going anywhere, and we can't change anything. I therefore have a few choices. I can find a new favorite team after 41 years. Not what I want to do. I can embrace and love what Jerry Jones represents on the football side of things. I would have to believe something I don't believe to do that. I could NOT embrace him and just never mention it, or rarely mention it. Or I can not embrace him and comment on it from time to time. I choose the last.

If he can keep shoving his face in front of a camera, because he bought the team (fair enough - I'm not a socialist and he earned it), then I can keep saying how much I detest the way he handles his role. (I'm an American and have free speech). I don't imagine I'm changing a thing. I just do it because he can buy the team but he can't buy my point of view.

people can't quit talking about it and how they hate him.

they live for it.

the media knows it and puts stupid stuff out there so the sheep will bring hits to their website all to complain.

they count on it.

They don't only count on it, they count their money.

Garrett does not want to talk to the media. thats why he gives those stock answers over and over again. Its not going to change unless you replace about 75% of the DFW press corps.

What would that do? After the new 75% got here, how long would it take them to realize what the problem is?

Romove guys like JJT, Watkins, Galloway, McMahon, et al. Replace them with Albert Breer types and I bet he would talk.

I hate to break it to you, but nothing any of us say here will change anything regarding the Cowboys.

The Cowboys need to hear more from JG and less of JJ. I feel JG is having more voice in the player personnel decisions than any previous Dallas coach since Big Bill. With that being said, media interviews need to be with him and less with JJ. If this team win next year, it will be from JG decisions not JJ.

Wade was the only previous coach since Big Bill.

My bad I thought you were referring to the way the media handles JJ.
