What if the surgery was more than it appears, hence why Romo gained some weight due to not being able to exercise/workout?

We don't know what exact type of cyst it was, well I don't know. Pilonidal cysts(possibility here) can sideline the strongest for weeks at the least.
We already know they told him for the 1st month to not even do cardio.
He started back with cardio a week or so ago and now is doing some very light throwing.

He claims he could play a game tomorrow if needed but they have him strictly limited, for good reason.

Supposedly, the cyst was the size of a quarter.

Good to see Beasley tryna make a name for himself. Love the Fredrick is holding it down. Like that Wilcox is making a name for himself on the 3rd team, gotta start sumwhere.

Charean Williams ‏@NFLCharean 11m Spencer on getting a long-term deal: If it gets done, it gets done. I have the same attitude I had last year.

He said there is a July deadline to get it done. He didn't say the exact date, but it is before training camp.

Jon Machota ‏@jonmachota 3m
Dez Bryant said he "caught a cramp" when he went down during today's OTA session. "It's a little bit too hot."

Dez Bryant on his off-season work: "I'm trying to focus more on technique instead of just going off natural talent."

Love this guy

Jon Machota ‏@jonmachota 12m
Dez Bryant on DeMarco Murray: "We need him throughout the whole year. He's probably one of the biggest pieces to this puzzle."

He's right. The Cowboys are really placing an emphasis on the run game this year. Focus is on having a balanced attack!

In addition to that...
mike fisher ‏@fishsports 24 May .@Bradcalhoun Source close to Romo suggests to me cyst was 'deep-deep tissue' or 'near nerve/spine' thus long #Cowboys recov time

Note to self: Never look that up on google images again. :ralph:

Romo looks like a 5x5 out there. Is he trying to look heavier or is it legit increase in clothing size.

He can't be heavier or looking overweight. Anyone who says so should be put in a mental institution, mainly because you have no proof. You have no body fat measurements or other numbers to go by.

Seriously though, I'm glad Romo is on the treadmill. In my opinion, he needs the cardio...

:D

Romo has never been a muscular looking guy. Some guys can play ball without looking like they can. We have all seen those types of guys growing up playing sports.

True, but behind this offensive line and being 33 years old, he should make it a higher priority IMO.

Not sure if there's anything to be read into it, but interesting that Arkin and Leary are splitting first team snaps at RG. It keeps my masochistic sliver of hope for Arkin alive.

And I'm glad to hear that it's Frederick all the way at first team center so far.

I've heard nothing but good things regarding Arkin from Callahan this offseason. I really don't know what it will mean, but it sure could be worse.

Yeah, Callahan had some measured positive comments about him a couple of weeks ago, but before that, there just didn't seem to be anything leaking out from the team, positive or negative, about him.

I'm looking forward to how it shakes out at the RG spot when the pads coming on in the minicamp. It sounds like Berny won't be ready yet so the young guys should get all the reps.

I actually thought that the praise in those Arkin quotes was pretty faint. I think the team has higher expectations for both Leary and Parnell, and that Arkin's in a battle for his roster spot. But that's all based on reading between the lines.
