Terence Newman in shells. Looks like he'll practice @ least a little.

Everybody that's supposed 2 practice is practicing. Terence Newman (ankle) back 2 work. So is Kevin Ogletree (back). BJames, JRatliff back 2

Doug Free has played last couple of games with broken right thumb. Wears mini cast 4 extra protection but not missed any practice.

calvinwatkins Calvin Watkins

Somebody hid Jon Kitna's jersey and helmet. He found it under some plastic garbage cans that were empty.

Jason Hatcher is back for another day of practice.

Kevin Ogletree (back) has returned to practice. He's fielding punts on scout team. Looks like Jay Ratliff is ready to practice.

Terence Newman is also on the practice fields today. He's got a balky ankle.

Noticed Andre Gurode walked onto practice field with his shoes untied. Hopefully he'll get around to it.

Watching Terence Newman move around here in practice, I wonder how effective he will be on Sunday. Maybe nickel reps only?

Nice attention to detail Andre. Didn't know that about Free.

I hope someone tells him, it's not like he can see his shoelaces by looking down...

Wonder when Lissemore gets back?

It was 4-6 weeks as of about a week ago, so I would say close to another month.

What does it mean to have a "balky" ankle? I know his ankle is hurt. I know the word "gimpy," but "balky"???

well in order to understand we will have to break the word down in its two parts Ball and Key.... now they both played with the Cowboys but at different times and different positions but perhaps they shared the same ankle much like the greek Fates shared an eye...so perhaps he Newman has found the ankle that Keyshawn and Ball shared...just a guess on my part

Balky

1. Given to stopping and refusing to go on: a balky horse; a balky client.
2. Difficult to operate or start: a balky switch; a balky engine.

Thanks. I'm still confused about an ankle being "given to stopping" or balking.

I guess the bottom line is his ankle is bothering him.

Thank you. That actually clears things up quite nicely.

lol now that Newman used it and as the last person to use it adds a part of their name on it it would be a Newbalky ankle or maybe a Terbalky

Tnew still has tender ribs and now a bad ankle; frankly might as well sit him and let it heal and try the kids more.
