Medic-Alert GPS tracking options, etc.

I'm looking to get some sort of tracking for my father in law. He goes on these long walks through the park and he is 80 plus and we want to be able to find if need be.

I know there is a ton of stuff out there and I am currently researching out options.

I just want to hear any personal experience stories or if you know something about a particular product?
