Meet the best acquisition from Day 1 of the draft

[Qwickdraw]

His name is "Rookie".
He is a purebred, tri-colored Border Collie.
I reserved him 2 months ago and handpicked him from a litter of 7 when he was born. Couldn't take him from his mother until he was 7 weeks old which happened to be Saturday. I had already picked his name before I knew he was coming home on draft day. How perfect.

Anyhow, he's been a bundle of fun (and laughs) this weekend and I'm looking forward to wonderful companionship with him for many, many years to come.

They are wonderful dogs. Borderline genius. And a handful because they pick up on everything.
I already have one who is a BC/Lab mix.
I plan to get Rookie (and myself) into the sport of frisbee competition. Can't wait till he is mature enough to participate. If you've ever seen a BC jump then you know exactly what I'm talking about.

yes, I've seen them jump. We had a BC on the ranch named Gigdet. She lived to be 19 years old. Even when she was 16 she was quick and agile.

Hope the frisbee training goes well. I enjoy watching those competitions.

I've been working with my dog catching frisbee too, a basset hound, ... not working out too good.

Just kidding, I have a black and silver schnauzer, 10 yrs old, ... smart dog.

I swear he knows English, we have to spell in front of him.

If he hears "treat", or "biscuit", you aren't going to relax until he gets one.

Dogs are so cool.

I love me some dogs.
