There are levels to Dallas Cowboys' fandom and one couple just raised the bar.

Stoney and Diana Kersh of Arlington, TX took the phrase 'diehard' to new heights when they decided to remodel their home to celebrate their love for the team. Most often this would result in a man/woman cave of some sort, filled with key pieces of Dallas paraphernalia -- but, a simple shrine wasn't enough for the Kersh couple.

Instead, they had an actual Cowboys Museum built onto their abode.

I guess I'm being a pessimist, but for some people that go to extremes, it's more about getting attention for themselves than their actual love of the team. I know a guy that had a vehicle all decked out in Cowboys signage and he didn't know jack-squat about the details of the team or football. The same with some people that get all dressed up for games and wear the silly helmets.

To me the most die-hard fans are the ones that are emotionally distraught that the Cowboys cut a 5th string RB and they know the height, weight and forty time of that player.

Sure some people are tools. This guy however strikes me as a genuine fan lol. Thats awesome. Most of us strive for a man cave, these two are crushing it.

I totally get what you're saying about fandom, but that couple obviously took a very long time (and expense) to assemble their home with no attention (that I'm aware of) coming until now. I don't doubt their love for the team. I'll give them kudos.

It might just be the specific people that I've met personally.

We've seen the same concept around here. There have been posters (more in the past than now) that would create threads with long grandiose manifestos proclaiming their knowledge and fandom and often including some guarantees, but those posters were often the ones that never took the time to actually understand the details of the game of football.

I used to have a room like that. Then sold it all on craigslist for a handful of nickels.

Fans you're talking about to me are usually losers caring about the obscure 5th string rb lol. They do that so they can fam snobs which is soo weak to me. As long as your not totally clueless and roll with the team good or bad that's enough IMO. All that other stuff like most people don't have various other interest nah. I'm sorry or not.

I'm sure he has some awesome stuff in there, but there comes a point where there is too much. If you have a dozen, maybe 2 dozen pieces, displayed tastefully throughout a room or "mancave", it can look really cool. 10-20,000 pieces stuffed into that same room, and people start thinking you're probably a little bit crazy. To each his own I guess, but that room stresses me out.

Darius Jackson's time with us was cut too short, my man.
