Rumor has it that the chargers might cut makai becton in an attempt to save some money.

This guy has all the physical tools at age 26 to be a dominant guard 6 ft 7 364 lb.
He proved that when put in the right culture he could be a dominant Force when he played with the eagles
This year he said he was not comfortable with the chargers system.
Here's a guy I wouldn't mind taking a chance on if he could be coached up into the version that played for the eagles.

Get in here Ranch we're talking football now we need your expertise I want to hear what you think.
I'm intrigued by the physical tools he has and the fact that he showed when playing for the eagles he was very capable.

But I'm conflicted with the fact he is underachieved in the Jets and chargers system.

What's everybody think could this guy solve some o-line problems or make it worse.

Is our culture too weak to get the same player performance the eagles got.

Is he an upgrade over Steele? I doubt he would be considered for LT.

I just feel like at 26 the guy really has potential.
But with our culture it just may not be the place to bring it out of him.

I guess it just ticks me off that he could go to the eagles and become a very good player.

If coached up a guy with those physical tools could really be a weapon.
And he might be able to had for a very good deal at this point.

What would your plan be?

To put Becton at left guard and play Tyler Smith at left tackle full time?

It's not a terrible idea. Not sure I'd do it, but I have heard worse plans.

I think that could be a powerful combination if he would play like he did on the eagles.

The guy just has so much potential and it was on full display when he was an eagle it's just figuring out how to get him motivated to play like that not sure if we can do it but it would be awesome if we could.

I’ve long been a fan as well.

His physical ability and talent sure are enticing.

But health has always been an issue with him, so I’d be hesitant investing too much.

He played his best when he was paid the least.

But I don’t think Tyler Smith wants to play tackle.

Looks very much as though the chargers are going to cut him and it seems like he wants to go back and play with the eagles.

With he and Lane Johnson going back that could definitely solve some of the eagles offensive problems.

I know steel needs to be replaced and it would just be crazy good if we could get him before the eagles did and he performed like he did when he played with them.

We would have to jockey our players around a bit and it's probably a lot to ask that he would come back to form but he is only 26 years old.

After seeing what we did with George Pickens robbing him from the Steelers and getting some excellent play out of him.

It would be incredible to rob becton from the chargers and have him be a dominant force on our offensive line not to mention keep him from going to the eagles and helping them.

Yeah they said he had some nagging injuries during training camp.
Then he went to South America and ate some rice and beans and had to be hospitalized.

They also said that he put on weight.

He’s struggled with his weight. I have a buddy who’s a Jets fan that knows him from their mutual weight loss journey.

Rasheed Walker the Packers FA LT should be Dallas target . Move Guyton to the right side to compete not get handed a job . Injuries and penalties, make Guyton earn it .

Becton ever since getting drafted with a premium pick in NY has battled one injury after another .
