I personally think they're insane if they believe Barmore will be there for the pick. He's going a full round higher than that. I'd take him over the ham and egger they gave us at 10.

First two picks would be stone cold ridiculous. Dont want an injury prone, hasnt played football in two years OT. Add Alim Mcneil and a safety with the 3rd rounders and thats a total and complete grand slam draft for both need and value.

We have THAT kind of draft and the Cowboys defense is getting young and talented.

I don’t know why everyone is so in love with Barmore. Yes, he is being rated in the 40’s by many reputable media scouts, not just these two. He isn’t in the class of Allen and Payne. Good prospect, but not elite by any means.

I'm not a Barmore fan either. That's two of us.

Not saying he is a pure bust but he isnt the next Chris Jones either.

Read tweets of this more than a few times.......hell a few posters have mentioned McNeil or Nixon as their preference.

McNeil is my favorite, but think he is going to be more attractive to 3-4 teams as is a traditional NT lined up over the Center. Think we are targeting more tweeners types who can play both the 1 & the 3.

He is a good prospect, but is getting pushed up cause of the lack of talent, at the position, strong playoff performance and the helmet he wears. If you was so good, he would of been a full time starter and not coming off the field against the run.

I'm with you Barmore would be my target and I wouldn't be upset with him at 10 if we couldn't go down a couple and still get him.

Would not be opposed to this, but Barmore won't be there. Give me McNeill or Holland anyway.

I'd be OK with that draft. Our interior pass rush is non-existent and upgrading it would be the single best improvement we could make on defense. I don't know how Barmore would fall that far NFL has him ranked 12th overall and the top DT. It's a little concerning that he didn't bench at his pro day. Makes you wonder if he's hiding something. I don't know who else was there when they took Little but there are guys in that range that would be better.

Quite possibly, but I think it's also possible that the concussion thing was slightly over blown due to extenuating circumstances. Having that full healthy year in Miami goes along way to convincing me he's fine, as anyone can be.

I suspect there’s a far greater chance Barmore is a guy nobody is even thinking of in 3 years versus a player we’ll be ruing over.

He started just six games in his career at Bama. He finished his time in Bama on a flourish but has a lot of question marks.

Take it FWIW, but Warren Sapp trained with him down in Florida and said this about him:

“Warren Sapp, a Pro Football Hall of Famer as a penetrating defensive tackle, had a chance to work with Barmore in Florida as part of some pre-draft preparation and came away less than impressed.

“I just promise you this, if these eyes right here that you’re looking at are telling a lie about talent, then shoot me. I won’t talk about football any more,’’ Sapp told PewterReport.com. “If this kid’s a first-round pick, then I won’t talk football [on social media] for a full year. It’s nothing personal, but I’ll take off a whole year if Barmore is a first-round pick.”

Now, Sapp is a blowhard, and I believe there’s obviously a good chance goes in R1, but I think the clear point is there’s legit question marks and feeling he’s overrated.

Barmore in a trade up back into R1? Sure, but not taking him 10th overall.
