I think Gordon is going to have a good career. I'm a big fan of his and I think it's a shame that people hate on him just because they want Gurley more.

Only thing that scares me is the Wisconsin pedigree. I thought Ball was going to be a player and we all know how that turned out.

Here is the finished commercial. Dude fires me up to have him in Dallas. Really there are 3 backs that I would want to get one from: Gurley, Gordon, and Coleman. I think each one has special traits.

So much for your RB scouting ability. Has Coleman made it into the top 20 yet? On any national scouting board?

I understand why some people are afraid of UW backs, but that is really overplayed IMO.

Ball's senior season he ran for 1830 yards at 5.1 per carry.

Gordon's senior season saw him run for 2587 yards at 7.5 yards per pop.

From 5.1 to 7.5 is an enormous difference in YPC. Huge.

5.1 YPC is what an average back does behind that Wisconsin OL in that system... 7.5 YPC is what an elite back does in that system.

Ball had 13 more carries and he gained almost 800 fewer yards.

Plenty of college backs get around 1800 yards ... only one has gotten more than Gordon's 2587... and that is Barry Sanders.

In 2011 Ball gained 1900 yards... with Russell Wilson as his QB. Gordon gained 2600 yards with pure crap as his QB. No skill position player at UW was worth a crap except for Gordon last year.

Not to mention Gordon has special traits like his rare acceleration and his fantastic change of direction. He loses almost no speed when he makes a cut. IMO, his vision and balance are elite as well (two of the main traits I look for in a RB).

Ball had zero elite traits that I could see. He was thicker than Gordon from what I can tell so maybe he had a little more power... but even if he did, he still didn't have special power. He was an average back and I felt like he was an average back when he was coming out in the draft. I didn't like him very much at all.

I really like Gordon a lot.

An average back gets 1800 at UW... a great one gets 2600.

Gordon just might be great.

Just my $0.02

And I said I would take the bet about what you stated.....that he was going to be up into the top 20. $100 says he doesn't go top 20 like your big mouth said it would.

ONCE AGAIN, I NEVER SAID HE WAS GOING TOP 20. FIND WHERE I SAID THAT. I SAID THAT ON MY BOARD HE IS A TOP 20 PLAYER. HE WILL GO FIRST ROUND HOWEVER AS I HAVE STATED AND AM WILLING TO BET BUT YOU WON'T TOUCH THAT BET BECAUSE YOU ARE WAY TOO SCARED. NOW GO AWAY.

Here is the thread: http://cowboyszone.com/threads/i-do...want-to-draft-a-cb.319405/page-4#post-6064836 and here is what you said:

"Ok, so my evaluation is a top 15-20 player in the draft. Just as the Cowboys evaluation of Frederick was a top 31 player in the draft. So maybe your evaluation has Coleman as the 60th best player in the draft. SO GIVE ME 59 PLAYERS WHO YOU ARE DRAFTING BEFORE TEVIN!"

No one but you has placed him in that range. You said he was going to zoom up the boards. Hasn't happened.

You also said this in response to Rogerthat12 (your reply is the bold part):

You are the only person known projecting Coleman as a top 15-20 prospect both nationally and on this board from what I can tell.

Yeah, me and the guy who pushed the Bears to draft Matt Forte a top 5 running back in the league the past 7 years.

So what, your point is....I said and still believe he is a top 20 player in the draft....especially for us. So where the heck did I say anything about him being drafted in the top 20? Nowhere cause I never said that. You are drama and just looking to stir up crap that isn't there or you just am so fascinated by my ranking for some reason. To put an end to it you could just simply take the bet and be done with it but you won't because you coward away from it. So just stop making crap up all because you don't like my opinion either put your money where your mouth is or just go away, it's that simple

You two want to argue about the parameters of a bet to prove which one can pee further...do so in PMs.

My concern is return on a first round investment. I like Gordon and what he can bring, but he is a running back and judging by the Murray dilemma, Dallas is kind of moving away from paying running backs big dollars when they hit a certain age. Obviously that will not mean squat for his rookie contract, but I do wonder if Dallas is drafting four years of a great player with him when they could have an eight year great player at Cornerback or Defensive end. If they are really in on the running back wall theory, I would just prefer that they grab a good one in the second or third and try to get a decade long solution for another position in the first.
