I know they were popular names amongst many here. The Chargers had long been rumored to let Ingram test the market(leave), but it appears they came to their senses.

Johnson was expected to hit FA because of the cost of a second tag and his dip in play following Jenkins departure. He's another often talked about player that's probably off the market.

Dallas really needs to sign one significant free agent on the defensive line who can pass rush. Then, draft two more in the first three rounds.

Add Jaylon Smith, and suddenly, the front 7 looks entirely different.

My top pass rush target was Nick Perry. I always thought he would provide elite pass rush ability, system fit, and Dallas while would have to pay a healthy amount (between $7-9 mill) they wouldn't have to break the bank for him like they would have to for JPP. But with Ingram off the table, that's just going to make Nick Perry that more expensive.

Back to reality. Im not for just saving this FA. we need 1 or 2 regardless what we pay, but Dallas seems content to let the FA fall where it may.

After Berry gets tagged that will leave a three-fingered DE, a fat NT with a bad back and Nick Perry as the extent of the pass rushers available in FA - and no noticeable upgrades available in the secondary. Going to have to build this D the old-fashioned way.
