Question for the board. Since its the off-season and there is basically no news. I know lots of us are collectors of all things Cowboys. So I ask you. If you had to choose, on a budget one player to get a signed jersey from, who would it be? I ask because the cost of a Witten/Romo/Dez jersey are beyond my price range, the only one really available in my range is a EE jersey. Now, do i buy it hoping he becomes a legend and the price skyrockets, or do i pony up the dough for an existing legend like Witten? I already own a signed Dez picture, so the collection has begun. Just curious as to who you guys would get. Bob Lily is also available, for a surprising price. Also the reason i am asking this, I live in Canada so making it out to autograph signings is not in the wheelhouse for me without dropping hundreds of dollars on flights and hotels. So pre-signed items are my only option for now. Thoughts?

I thought all actual authentic jerseys were the same price, no matter who's name is on it.........

The entire team after they win the SB this year....:D....

Not into signed jersey's, but if I were to get one, probably one with either Zeke, Dez, Tony, Jason Witten, for current players.
For other players, Emmitt would really be top of the list of all players. Irvin, Staubach, Dorsett, Aikman for retired players.

Thanks for your input. The jersey wasnt official so i decided against it. I did however grab a signed Buckeyes football with his career stats as well. Embroidered so thats a good start. Ill wait until bye week when they have their signings to grab his jersey. May grab a helmet as well.

We remodeled our basement last year and I bought some Cowboys memorabilia to decorate with. I went with Irvin and Staubach autographed jerseys and an Aikman autographed helmet all purchased on eBay. The jerseys were both around $150. We also have a sweatshirt that I got autographed by Woodson when he spoke at a conference I attended. Romo would probably be my next choice but I'm guessing that would be a little more expensive at this time.

I need to go the the pro shop at the stadium, see what they have, if anything.
Was near the outlet store by their distribution center yesterday, as well near the Grapevine mills mall, as they have a pro shop in there too. But was at both places a month or so ago. Neither had anything as to what I was looking for. Don't recall any autographed merchandise. So I didn't stop in this time.
I think there is a place in Southlake, I need to check out sometime.

Plan to head toward the stadium next week for a few things I need to do in that area. Just a short, straight drive 7 miles so can head there anytime.

Oh heck I'd buy the Bob Lilly Jersey

I got the privalidge to meet him once and I had his football card so he signed it for me. Very down to earth guy, he even let me put on his ring though it only came close to fitting on my thumb

Not sure what player you are referring too?

But I met Randy White at a card show in Ft. Lauderdale in the 90's. Did not even know he was going to be there. We were leaving the Sawgrass Mills Mall, seen this card show, and i said to my wife..crap, that is Randy White. So she went and bought a mini helmet, while i went to see if he was still signing autographs. Always had my Cowboys t-shirt on. He stood up, shook my hand and startd talking. I asked him about the SB ring. He took it off and handed it to me, and i could nearly put 2 fingers in it. LOL.
super nice guy.
got his autograph on the helmet, still have it of course, along with all my others

Cool pics/man cave. Are those Romo cards worth much?

Thanks! My wife doesn't like to call it a man cave because she considers it her space also. :) I started buying the Romo cards when he first took over for Bledsoe. Back then they could be bought for $20 or $30...wish I'd bought more. I kept buying them as they increased in value. We had another one but gave it to our Godson who is a big Cowboys fan. Depending on the grade or condition sellers on eBay are asking $500 + but I'm not sure if they are actually selling for that. If he wins a Super Bowl they should jump up quite a bit. Eventually I'm planning to just keep one and sell the rest.
