Much respect to those that serve or served. I grew up respecting the military, having had several uncles that served and fought in Korea and Vietnam, one Purple Heart, one Colonel and one Captain. Now, i have a son in law that will finish his 6 year Air Force commitment as a Staff Sergeant at the end of this week and start with the Texas Air National Guard, next week. Many of our Zoners served or serve, you have my respect.

Yes, freedom is not free.

Massive respect for sure.

One key thing to remember: Memorial Day is specifically set aside to remember those who died serving in the military. Veterans Day honors all those who have served.

Let’s remember each and every soldier who gave as President Lincoln called it, “The last full measure of devotion” for their country.

Salute to all those we have lost serving in our armed forces!

Just something I wanted to share from a television segment I saw and snipped a week or so ago. It is a poem by retired Admiral William H. McRaven, from his book Duty, Honor, Country, & Life | A Tribute to the American Spirit (video is two minutes seven seconds)

Happy Memorial Day, CowboysZone.

This is for the ones who gave all.

All gave some, some gave all. In memory of 58,479 brothers and sisters who never returned. Vietnam War - 1959-1975.

My friend and foe, baseball player, Fredrick Herrera, we joined togeatner, he is MIA, never came back home to Albuquerque.
