10.0/10.0

There are ... a number of films which can, will and should be mentioned on Memorial Day like Saving Private Ryan or Patton or etc., but this one film will receive special mention from me. Very few movies cut to the core of the holiday as much as this one.

I tear up every time I catch it on HBO. The sheer respect and honor demonstrated from beginning to end illustrates what's best in the human heart in remembrance of those who make the ultimate sacrifice.

If anyone has never watched it, I highly recommend it. It will playing a lot on cable in the near future, especially during this holiday.

I've watched it once and I'm not afraid to admit I cried. It was very well done.

When we entered into the battle in WWII, the eyes of the world were upon us. They remain upon us today as well.

Thanks for sharing, Cas...our friend. I would say more, but for the tears....

Can't imagine anyone objecting to how you've expressed yourself in this post, CC. Very nicely put.

Today is a hard, hard day for me because I lost my hero over a year ago. My grandfather served in the Navy during WW II. Yes, folks, that was the greatest generation. God bless the men and women in uniform.
