One week in rainy Wisconsin + no Internet access = me rummaging through my parents' basement in search of the ol' scrapbook. Here are some of the better clips. Ignore the rude message I typed on Danny's jersey. I must have been mad at him that week.

You do know that the younger generation probably thinks that you scanned that photo into a computer and superimposed the letters instead of using a typewriter, right? :)

Heck. What am I thinking? They're probably reading this and asking, "What's a typewriter?" :laugh2:

I can't thank you enough. Some of those I knew the exact game. I got to relive some old emotions that way.

I had a typewriter until about 95-96. Then someone "borrowed" it, never to be seen again.

Weird. Typewriters were never computers or even the old word processors. They were machines which were preferred by those who could actually type well. My guess is that the borrower broke it, sold it to another typist or kept it for his/her own selfish reasons. Was the borrower a good typist? If not, I'll bet he or she killed it and didn't wish to admit the truth; or he or she made a quick buck at your expense.

This was in undergrad and knowing the borrower like I did, she made a quick buck off it after we lost touch...

I used it alot for papers when I was in school.

My pleasure. That Atlanta playoff game clip was too big for my scanner, but you get the gist. I'm not blessed with photographic recall like Thumper, so these pix act as a portal to another time and place--usually a good place.

I own a type writer. It is hell trying to find a tape that fits it, but I love the machine. It's an oooold school manual type writer. The sound is soooo cathartic.

These are some great pics, Commander fan!

Yeah, bbgun...this stuff is smooth!

There are a few pics that I want to say something about...

"Dorsett will be true blue in Dallas' new blue"...the second pic...when I first glanced at it, the tape on his fingers look like he's smoking a cig while running! :laugh2:

The another one, I think it Harvey Martin because I cannot really see the number...getting ready to sack #12 of the Packers...the back of his jersey on his right shoulder is all torn up! ;) These were REAL fighting days! When men were men and sheep were scared!

The NFL has sure changed from back when...!

Great stuff.

I still remember that comeback versus the Falcons in the Playoffs.

Danny White to Drew Pearson sealed the win, if I remember correctly.

We just kept shooting ourselves in the foot that game with untimely turnovers and penalties.

I really miss Harvey Martin, Randy White, and Too Tall Jones on the DL. Now, THAT'S a DL!

IMO, Harvey Martin just doesn't get enough credit for his contributions to the game.

He was my favorite defensive player, and TD was my favorite offensive player, followed by Tony Hill.
