I would like to make a reservation of 1 - 5 replies on this thread for DaBoys4Life, with a little Felix Jones bashing for dessert. Thank you.

I'm old and hard of hearing. What was that you said?

Barber had a fumbling problem his rookie year during the pre-season. Parcells stuck with him.

I think it is difficult to compare Felix to the other backs that Dallas could have drafted. Different teams, different systems, different expectations and different circumstances. Plus this is only pre-season. We will see how well Felix is utilized and how he responds in the regular season. I am pleased with what I see how of him. He will be an asset.

Speaking of fumbling. Julius Jones has fumbled the ball once over the last two seasons in Dallas. That is pretty darn good and one aspect of his game that I hope continues with the young guys this year. I think it will since Barber is not a fumbler, either.

For those interested in tracking the guy we could've had at pick 22...

Mendenhall has 18 carries for 75 yards tonight, with a lost fumble.

It's his 3rd lost fumble of the preseason.

His total preseason stats are now...

51 carries for 218 yards (4.3 average), 1 TD, 3 lost fumbles. He also has 2 catches for 15 yards.

Felix has 18 carries for 73 yards (4.1 average), 0 TD, 1 lost fumble. He also has 7 catches for 65 yards.

Carry on...

I wouldnt have cared if Mendenhall had 500 yds this preseason...from what I saw of F Jones, he was CLEARLY the right pick for our team and this offense

he's gonna be a huge weapon.

What's it going to be then, eh?

I could care less what Mendenhall did.

He is a totally different type of back and Jones provides us with a better fit. That's really all that matters.

May as well add the preseason for the 3rd RB drafted late in Rd1....

Chris Johnson

33 carries 182 yrds (5.5 ypc) 2 TDs, 0 fum + 7 rec, 92 yrds (13.1 ypc)

.....so 40 touches and 274 yards...most of all rookie backs...and of course more than both both Mendenhall and Felix on paper...who knows if that really means anything whatsoever, but I thought I would provide the data.

I really think both Pittsburgh and Dallas got the best player to fit the situation. Felix and MB3 fit VERY well together...add in Choice and that's a great group.

I'm sure both teams are very happy with their choices. For that matter, so is Tennessee.
