I think he has a receding hairline and either has a toupe, or, more likely, a fancy, fluffy combover

I am a guy that enjoys a good joke every now and then, thus the sig, but I really don't feel it is appropriate to take shots at a guy that lost his hair due to a bout with cancer. I know most of us on this forum have had a loved one affected by cancer and it is not a pretty sight.

Agreed.

My Mom got cancer and eventually died from it and was bald after chemo and radiation...not pretty and definitely not funny.

Until this thread I had no idea he ever had cancer, I just don't keep up with espn that much, it is entirely possible people that made comments didn't know either.

Per Wikipedia:

On February 14, 2003, Merril was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma-cancer. Chemotherapy treatments began soon after, and went on for five months. Finally, on July 2, 2003, after completing the chemotherapy, Merril was cancer-free.

I didn't know he had cancer either, but w/ saying that, I always thought someone just dumped a plate of white spaghetti on his head before every segment
