Merriman play today?

Not to bring up another Merriman comparison thread or anything, but he did play today right? I swear I never even heard his name called all game long.

Also a very good one. Chased him from the other side of the field and made a good lunge at the carrier, poking it out perfectly.

...a sack and a forced fumble today. It wasn't like he was playing with his hair on fire, but he wasn't lousy.

On the fumble he caught Henry behind the line of scrimmage and forced him to cough the ball up. Good pay, but unfortunately Rivers wasn't able to do anything with it.

Maybe I was at the head when he got the sack. I just never honesty heard his name.

Yeah and that play occured in the redzone, I believe and prevented Titans from scoring, at least a FG.

his sack was fortunate. Phillips flushed Young right to him and Merriman and another defender cleaned up. MErriman got credit for it but should have at least split with the other guy.​

Good cause i hate that PUNK! all he does all game long is showboat, sick of his dumb dance also, and Phillips kickin the ball thing also.. Hope the Colts Kill the chargeless next week!

Ya, he had a decent game. Why?

He had only once sack and not many pressures- and most of the time he was handled by the tackle without any help. He DID make that big play- and it could very well have been the single most critical play of the game.
BUT it is also clear that without the juice he is NOT the player that he was.

Considering he is an outside linebacker, I think thats a pretty good day. It's not 6-8 tackles, but running away from him could be the cause. To get a sack and a FF is great and the four tackles are just the icying on top.

Ya think the OLBs had anything to do with that? Merriman played a good bit of contain and he did it well.

I agree. It's like Ware last year. If you didn't watch the game and just looked at the stats, Ware would have appeared to be a non-factor, when in fact he was a huge factor. Merriman played a good *team* game. I was actually glad to see him step up his team game rather than the entire thing be about him.

Still hate him though.
