Merriman vs. Spencer vs. Ware

I know how sick we all are of of the "Ware vs. Merriman" crap. Believe me! I was just curious if anyone had Merriman's senior season stats and combine #s and could compare them with Spencer's and Ware's. I'm really just curious as to the differences. I'm pretty sure Merriman was heavier and faster than Spencer. Spencer is strong and had some impressive stats his senior year. If someone has them, they could put Ware's #s there too. In case you weren't kidding, this is not a new "debate". I was curious about the stats....that's all.

If Spencer even resembles the statistical success of Shaun Phillips, the LB opposite Merriman, I will be really happy. However, Spencer could even ecilipse his play given his phyiscal ability. Also, since we haven't seen Spencer on an nfl field yet so this is purely conjecture, but I think that Spencer may even have a legit chance of possibly bieng as good or a better overall player than Demarcus Ware. He has all the tools.

While I'm not ruling this out, as anything is possible, his tools aren't quite as sharp as Ware's. If they both develop proportionally to their physical tools, Demarcus will be the better player.

There's really no comparison. Merriman and Ware are in a different league. They're both elite athletes. I'm a giant Spencer fan, but I wouldn't pretend he's in the same league as Merriman and Ware.

Shawn Merriman = DeMarcus Ware

Shaun Phillips = Anthony Spencer

Merriman shouldnt even be talked about until we see what he does off the juice and now free of Wade.

Its very possible he becomes a 1-2 year wonder.
