This guy is pathetic, Hes trying to do whatever possible to save his image from being ruined but it doesnt look like any of the stunts he is pulling are working . Lame excuses...

That's because it probably came from some crooked nutritionist or doctor's office.

All he has to do is say the pressure of the 'Boys telling him that they were going to pick him, but then didn't, got him to question his own ability and he wanted to prove them wrong. So, he fell into a trap.

first he's going to fight the suspension, because there's no way he took anything...

then he's not going to fight the suspension, because it's a tainted supplement, and no matter what, the league is super strict about that kind of thing. so, you know, better to get it over with as soon as possible so he can help his team -- because he's all about helping his team.

now he has an opportunity to come out smelling like roses, and the league exposes him as a liar.

I seriously doubt it. People take steroids to give them an extra edge. The latter either makes you as good as other players, or it makes you better than them. Either way, you're not as good without them.

I was thinking this myself when Merriman refused to name the supplement. If you really are a victim of circumstance, why are you going to take the fall all on yourself.

I saw somewhere on Friday that the when you get suspended for other drug use (recreational), you get the 4 game suspension on the second time. I think the first offense gives you a chance at rehab. Steroids gets you suspended for the first violation.
