After seeing the Eagles/Cowboys rivalry piece they did i was in disgust. I couldnt believe how they talked about the Eagles beating us all the time and did not even mention the cowboys winning. They did the late 80s and then skipped clear to the irvin incident and talk about how the Eagles dominated the boys this decade. I was so mad i went to the website and submitted a comment. Problem was the comment thing had a character limit so i had to chose my words carefully or else it would have been MUCH longer and better put together put this is verbatim what i sent.

"This comment is concerning the piece you did on the Cowboys/Eagles rivalry that was shown on ESPN. After watching it i was honestly stunned at the lopsidedness of the segment. Never have i seen such a biased piece of supposed "journalism" in my entire life. You mentioned the late 80s and the Eagles dominance, then conveniently skipped all of the 90's and started talking about the eagles dominance during this decade after the Irvin incident. I expected better from ESPN. Lesson learned. "

Doubtful they will even show this to any of the higher ups but i had to get it off my chest.

I serioulsy stopped watching ESPN NFL's coverage a few years ago. I think all fans think their team gets slighted here or there but ESPN is ridiculous with it. Many of thier on-air personalities take way too much joy in bashing the Cowboys. Trent Dilfer is the only person at ESPN I respect and I have to watch him on youtube to filter out the other morons.

You can't let things like this get you. These things are exactly why you can't really bother watching ESPN pre-game shows or football coverage cause they all make it perfectly clear how stupid they are everytime they open their mouths.

Their 30 in 30 shows are cool though.

well you just made ESPN very happy. because one you are watching or listening to their show, they got your interest either out of love or hate. you just responded to them. you are a customer.

I have boycotted ESPN for the past 2 years. I don't watch them nor do I go to their website. if enough fans boycott, then they will change their tune. cowboys fans are nationwide and once they do their surveys, take a look at their marketing results, they will get softer, right now because the cowboys are americas team, they will appease the haters by bashing the cowboys and they will energize the cowboys fans as you have been by ticking you off.

Embrace the hatred chip. Let it warm your soul and wash over you like a soothing bath. Let it feed your resolve to love and believe in your team. Chip, the Cowboys are sex and those who hate them want you celibate. Embrace it. You will feel better.

It's amazing how ESPN has become so much bigger by alienating true fans and catering to casual fans who think they know a lot because they watch Sportscenter every day. Amazing. I wish someone would write a book about it :laugh2:

I don't care for ESPN either, mostly because I'm not a 21-year-old fratboy.

But honestly, all these threads about media people hating the Cowboys are fairly ridiculous. Just because someone is criticial about Dallas doesn't mean they're biased. I'll say it again, just because someone is critical about the Cowboys doesn't mean they're biased.

Facts are facts. Dallas hasn't won a playoff game in a long time. Dallas has choked in December and January -- repeatedly. And yes, the Eagles have owned us for the most part over the past 10 years.

Sure, we're all tired of hearing it, but this kill-the-messenger routine is tiresome.

My complaint wasnt about them not giving us props for this season it was how they made out like the eagles have always gotten the best of us over the years.

It's Entertainment and Sports Programming Network, people. They are basically entertaining you. If you desire something which is both connected with ESPN and sports news related, try ESPNews instead. However, even that alternative is not strictly guided by the best journalistic principles. Quite frankly, very few television based sources are, although some are better than others.

I had to watch ESPN on Sunday nights leading up to the game because I refuse to watch Olbermann.
