Back in the late Eighties you managed to raise the $150M necessary to allow your purchase of the once-proud Dallas Cowboys franchise. It was shrewdest business move you’ve ever made, your business is now valued at over $9B.

You came into this opportunity with a vision of turning the franchise BACK into a winner. And in a relatively short time the Cowboys were back on top of the NFL world.

But you decided, at the height of your team’s success that YOU required more recognition as a ‘football man.’ It wasn’t enough for you to be socking away mountains of cash.

Cut to almost thirty years later and your team, despite it’s ridiculously huge cash valuation, hasn’t won SQUAT in the interim.

So, my question to you Mr. Jones is… do you REALLY want to win another championship before you pass into the great beyond?

If so, then try THIS for a change:

1) Turn over the GM duties to somebody who has a proven record of success in the last decade or two. Not some sycophant - and fight that nepotistic penchant! Allow that person to make the necessary decisions regarding peronnel and trades.

2) Hire a headcoach with a vision, somebody younger than sixty with a shelf-life, and a strong personality. And let that hire bring in HIS people. Allow the new coach the player’s locker room and sideline as HIS domain. Meanwhile, your throne is in the owner’s box - and ONLY in the owner’s box.

3) Avoid speculation to the press regarding the team’s season prospects and player evaluations.

4) Be prepared to shut up and write checks. Send your kids to Europe for the late-Summer and Fall months, extending their stays through early Winter if need be (depending on team success).

Jerry Jones, you’ve tried it your way for going on three decades. It hasn’t gotten you that championship you claim you desire. So, show us how sincere you are in THAT pursuit. Show is that you REALLY MEAN IT. That it’s not just PT Barnum hot air. Do it for the Dallas Cowboys, your team. Do it for Cowboys Nation - the loyal fans of your team. Do it for history.

Jerry does not give a squirrel turd what you or anyone else thinks ......... if Fans would start booing him out the building every time he or jr shows their face, hit him in his ego and pocketbook, then maybe something would change.

But it wont ........ Cowboy fans are as gutless as this team is in the playoffs.

We’re you in the stands booing him out of the building. Although I agree with a lot of what you said, I’m hoping you’re not just a talker and you were doing?
Hell no, because I have never set foot in his Stripper pole gaudy excuse for a stadium.

And I never will.

Last Jersey I bought was in 2002 {Roy Williams (safety)}

Last time I attended a Cowboys home game was Texas Stadium in 1995 against the Cards.

To understand JJ, simply know this: His hobby is playing amateur GM. He enjoys it. He can afford it.
It's that simple.

He's trying to win. He wants to win. He is not settling for mediocrity to keep selling T-shirts and filling seats. He has plenty of money.

many NFL owners fall into this category btw. Its just the way the league has been. They all wanna win but they all have huge ego's in business and this is no different. The owners that run the team like a real football team/business with accountability/consequences etc...are ALWAYS the teams that are in the thick of things at the end of the year. Dallas just teases us and tinkers on the outer fringes. Never really a serious threat. The other teams like GB and SF understand this fact. We are a marketing business that plays a little ball on the side. For those of you who follow Nascar and remember Richard Petty, Thats what this team is now...a once elite franchise or "driver" that was a threat every time, that evolved into a caricature of themselves. Richard Petty during the last like 10 years of his racing career was experimenting with his car...never really a serious threat to win or even finish top 10. Can you guys see my analogy? You just had to be ok with it.... Because it was the King, Richard Petty. Well, thats now Dallas. We are Richard Petty towards his twilight years on the track. We are fading. The question is, Jerry willing to have the balls 1 last time to break the trend and reboot this thing? I think by Friday we shall know. APB is out for Wildcat Jerry.

Perhaps the curse was lifted by such an embarrassing showing that Cowboys fans prove they have had enough and it brings real changes.

Former players like Irvin and Emmitt have already posted videos with their displeasure. When Irvin has some about enough is enough, you know it's getting serious
