Mock of players who are messed up, physically, mentally, chemically or otherwise.

Rd1: Myles Jack, LB, 6-1 245 4.4 (approx.) - best at his position but injured leg may not be 100%

Rd2: Robert Nkemdiche, DT, 6-4 300 4.8 - lacks a brain, heart, accountability and any splash plays

Rd3: Devonte Booker, RB, 5-11 220 4.5 - violent runner but coming off a big owie

Rd4: Jaylon Smith, LB, 6-2 223 4.6 (approx.) - see Myles Jack but multiply by 10
T.J. Green, FS, 6-205 4.3 - insanely athletic but no experience/stats, came out too early & bad ankle

Rd6: Cardale Jones, QB, 6-5 250 - could be a JaMarcus Russell clone and if that's not enough, pulled up lame running 40
Byron Marshall, RB/WR/KR, 5-9 205 - versatile & productive but injury has made him forgotten man
KeiVarae Russell, CB, 5-11 205 - cocky uber athlete but entitled, a cheat & oft injured
Kavon Frazier, SS, 6-0 220 4.6 - foot injury and compares to Barry Church, that is just all kinds of messed up!

I've never seen a guy spend more snaps on the sideline while never being "injured".

And as I explained to you before, that's not accurate. He played the most number of snaps of any defensive back at ND in his sophomore year and senior year (until he broke his leg at seasons end). As a frosh he started all 13 games and was, I believe, 3rd in snaps as a true forsh in the secondary Hard to imagine how you could lead the team in snaps played but be on the sidelines as much as you claim.

I honestly think you are confusing him with someone else (maybe Redfield who was on and off the field a bit).

Maybe I am confusing him. I watch every ND so it was someone. Where did you find snaps played data?

Back up your claim he's always injured.

BAT didn't say Cardale Jones was always injured.
He didn't put space between Jones and Byron Marshall.

When I first read it, I thought he was talking about Jones being injured. But he was talking about Byron Marshall as being injured.

I got them from one of the ND sites. I have them at home but I will dig them up. I do have last years:

Russell played 748 snaps. Cole Luke, the other CB, played 894 snaps. But remember Russell missed the last 2 games and change (he got hurt in the BC game). OSU ran 85 offensive plays, Stanford ran 64 so that's 149 snaps Russell was out. If you extrapolate that out to a full season, Russell would have played the same amount of snaps or so as Luke before breaking his leg.

FWIW, Redfield only played like 650 snaps, so maybe that's who you are thinking of that was a starting DB but spent a lot of time on the sideline. He had the lowest snap count of the original four starting DBs for ND - Russell, Luke, Shumate and Redfield.

So yes, he got hurt in 2015 but for 2015 he also wasn't spending huge chunks of time on the sideline throughout the year like you've suggested. I'll dig up the other years when I get home.

It's funny how every year Jerry is the one that gets cute with his picks thinking hell out smart the rest. Wouldn't surprise me if we end up with at least two of these players.

Here's 2012, tex........... Russell's frosh year

Total defensive snaps - 830

Russell played 740 splitting time early with Janoris Slaughter (who had 126) before he became the full time starter early in the season.

Russell ended up his frosh year played the 3rd most snaps of any DB behind starting FS Zeke Motta (814) and the other starting DB, Bennett Jackson (815). Fourth highest DB snaps that year was Mathias Farley at 706.

Dude, lighten up. I said I misspoke ("messed up"). This was supposed to be a light hearted thread, chillax.

My bad............ I thought when you said, "speaking of messed up" that was a swipe at me. My apologies.

Thanks man. I appreciate the stats, even when they prove me wrong!
