just thought I'd share that I was in Vegas this week and saw Emmitt Smith was doing an autograph signing so I put on the ol Cowboys shirt and met him. Later tonight I happened to have Terrence Williams walk right by, he saw the shirt when I called out to him and was probably the nicest guy you've ever met.

Awesome. I've had nothing but good experiences from the few I've met. Micheal Irvin, even during his trouble times, came to a smaller town and played basketball to raise money for kids and signed autographs for everyone.

Emmitt didn't charge you for that? That's surprising.

Congrats, bro! That must have been amazing(it would for me atleast). The closest I ever got to Emmitt was watching him play once in person, cool that Terrence is so nice, he's really starting to grow on me as a player. Good to know he's a good guy.

You guys remember Vincent Smith? He works where I live, one of the nicest guys ever. That is his super bowl ring in my avatar. I could almost fit two fingers in it.

Met Randy White at a card show in Ft. Lauderdale in the mid 90's. Let me try on his SB 12 ring. Same thing, almost fit 2 fingers in it. Great guy. This was before camera phones, so no pics...LOL...
I worked with a lady, her fiance worked in the FO for the Cowboys, he had passed away from an accident by the time I knew her. But she brought in the SB 27 ring he had, so I could see it. took a few pics. As all employees in the upper FO got SB rings also. I guess he was pretty high up, as she also showed me a lot of pics from a few holiday parties at Jerry's house, and some of the players.
Her family gave her one of the three rings of the SB rings to keep.

Same for me, nothing but good experiences, though a few times the fans were rushed through by the promoters. But the players were always nice. A few were....hi, your name, thanks...I held nothing against the players, as the promoters and their cronies were literally pushing people along....

All in the 90's, pre SB and after the SB's.
Troy Aikman in 1992, before the season so before the SB. He was great, especially with the kids, took his time with them, and adults too. But more so with the kids. In spite of the promoters, he basically said, leave me alone, I will take my time...
Irvin was great, but a bit rushed. Emmitt was rushed, as Deion. Basically they herded people through like cattle, get branded [autogragh] move on out to pasture...lol...
Randy White, was at the end of a card show, didn't even know he was going to be there. He was just about to leave, no promotion people hanging to close. Talked with him a good 10 minutes.

Terrance and his buddy were crazy nice. His friend was happy to offer to take our picture for us. I congratulated him on being resigned and he looked me dead in the eye and said "now this is our year. We've got work to do". Got me so hyped

I've been lucky enough to meet quite a few of the greats, even had a few over to my ranch for a BBQ a few years back. They have all been awesome, especially Randy White, Wade Phillips and George Teague. Great thrill, even for a grown man like me.

Good to hear. I am always hesitant to go to places to meet them, because if they're jerks I will have a hard time rooting for them. I have met a couple players that were very nice also..unfortunately they were former Giants because I'm in NJ. Jim Burt and Stephen Baker.

I hope you didn't have any TO jersey's on any cattle...and George took off running them down and slobber knocked them to the ground....:muttley:

Lol, actually, George autographed my TO jersey and wrote Defender of the Star on it. He said he had never done that and that he better not see it on Ebay. He, larry Brown, eveson walls, solomon paige and a few others from other teams used to hold camps for me. Randy White also held three camps for me. Great guys.

Daryl "Moose" Johnston was sitting behind me at my nephew's lacrosse game the other day when they played Jesuit. I didn't want to bother him, so I didn't say anything. For those that don't know, Jesuit is a ridiculously rich private school in Dallas where all the athletes are perfect specimens of humans. They beat my nephew's team 11-2. Lol

I walked out of my office at the airport a couple of years ago, and the MAN was standing there, talking on his cell phone, Roger! I stood around for about 10 minutes waiting for him to get off the phone, before I gave up. I wanted to take a picture with him. On another occasion I ran into Moose and Too Tall who were here to do a commercial for World Car. I didn't get to take a picture because TSA was strip searching them. I did, however meet Elisha Manning. Took a picture with him too. He is the nicest guy ever, so is his wife. I told him I hated him for playing well against my Cowboys.

Damn I want to hang around you guys and have a beer, just to hear more stories...and yeah it would be cool to meet a Cowboy. I've talked to Ty Crawford(nice guy) before he was a Cowboy, said hi once go Demarcus Lawrence(intimidating guy), and J.R. Simplot introduced me to Quentin Micheal, after buying me and my mom tickets to a BSU game, the same guy that knocked Wittens helmet off. That's it, never met any other Cowboys players. I have met Jake Plummer multiple times...he hates us, lol.
