not sure if you have been watching the NFL but tight ends are 6 foot 4 plus and run in the 4.5 range nowadays and are built like tanks, roy is gonna be beaten at time by guys like that, hell a ton of guys in the league would be beaten. Roy is a run stopping big hitter, not a coverage specialist. I knew that before this season, his performance this year only made me think he was better in coverage than I thought. Roy and Newman will both have a break out year this next season. Whether we win or lose the both of them will excel under a front 7 pressure defense like what wade phillips employs.

we can't use common sense Stealth you kno this you've been around for a while

I agree roy is a runstopper and big hitter but were where they this year, few and far between. People were even saying his shoulder was hurt because there were no hits. what stood out in my mind was in the playoff game him getting beat for yet another td. and whiffing on alexander in the backfield on a big 3rd and 1. His season in a nutshell.

Honestly Roy did have a bad year... I probably wouldn't say that to Marion Barber though. Good story.

It's a shame you posted that part of the story because I've seen how giving a honest assessment of Roy's play this year can lead a group of posters to try and gang up on you.

(P.S: Roy had a great year, great in coverage, great in run support, no whiffs on screens, no plays where he goes after a lineman for some reason and avoids the ballcarrier, just another pro bowl season for #31).

Actually me and my partners did talk to TI at the bar in the Venetian casino. Didn't think you guys were big on rappers. I was suprised that he was getting no love at the bar, almost like nobody recognized him. Little guy, musta been 145lbs. soaking wet. He was cool though very down to earth and traveled with only a few guys not the normal entourage for a rapper.

Cool thing about it was one of his boys (coulda been a cousin) WAs very adamant and loud while agreeing with me and getting in Barbers face teasing him.

His boy is probably a Skins fan and thought Taylor deserved his pro bowl.

I really enjoyed your story despite hammering Roy. When players come up thru fire the finger pointing is not something they engage in, maturity over rides blame everytime. Do I think Roy fell off? Yeah but I'm confident our new coaches will fix the problems..

Venetian is my next stop:D

The thing is, I love Roy he just needs the right system to use his talents not his liabilities, I think Wade will do that for him and he will play more like his rookie year.

As far as the Venetian its hot just don't order room service. I ordered pancakes one morning, thjey sent me 3 pancakes the bill 25$. thats crazy!!!!
