I go to college around a mall he was at last night and got to meet him. I had no idea he was going to be there. I don't respect Vick not because hes an Eagle but because of what he did outside of footballl. Told him I was a Cowboys fan and that they deserved the win but we will be back. No I did not get his autograph (sorry choice) and since I didn't pay for the autograph session I couldn't get a picture with him. When I told him well be back he respectfully just laughed. It's so funny living my whole life right outside of Philadelphia and how everyone was saying he sucks now they are on a little win streak and people are paying just to shake his hand

Prediction: We won't get another shot at Vick because he will be hurt before we play them again.

are you suggesting you are going to hire somebody to whack Vick?

im down

In the infamous words of Rob Ryan, " We're gonna beat their ***. "

whoops

Why anyone would pay to meet anyone is beyond me. I can understand if it's to raise money for charity or something like that, was it? Kudos to you for telling him you're a fan and we'd get em next time.

What a horrible prediction to place on someone. With all of the injuries that the Cowboys are dealing with, I wouldn't be wishing injury on any player.

I don't get that either. There are plenty of times you can go meet folks like this, and get autographs, in free sessions.

I'm not paying for anyones autograph or the chance to take a picture with them.

Add to that Desean's "We gonna sting they ***" and it becomes apparant that that kind of talk don't do jack.

Neither do I.

I mean, I get it if you're a little kid, but autographs in general are a weird thing to me, even if its free. Never understood it like "hey look, player X signed this."

I'd much rather have a handshake, short conversation and keep it moving. If you're in a situation where you can actually have meaningful conversation, even better.

But to pay a guy to sign a picture doesn't register with me.

On a side note, while in Baharain during the first Iraq war, my dad sent a Nolan Ryan baseball card straight to Ryan's house in Alvin, TX. Ryan sent the card back to Baharain signed. I thought that was cool. Lol, we ended up selling it a baseball card show for $600 or something.

I can't understand the whole autograph thing for myself but I can understand the length people would go to get those for their kids/nieces/nephews etc

My mom says the same thing! "It's just a signature? What's the big deal?"

There are a few people I would pay to meet. George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Ben Franklin, Albert Einstein, Adolf Hitler (pre-1920 so I could gut him with a bowie knife) They are all dead now, so that's a no go.

I used to have a Riddell Cowboys helmet with about 15-20 Cowboys signatures on it from the 90s Cowboys (signatures acquired from Fatso's in Arlington during Emmitt Smith's radio talk show during those years)

The helmet was an actual Riddell, but it wasn't a playing helmet. Anyway. I was looking at it one day and thought to myself? What good is this? It's useless, so I gave it to my grandmother who sold it for me in a garage sale for $150.

Since then I've gotten rid of all my baseball cards and all other memorabilia.

I have one jersey that I only wear when I actually go to a game (Ware)

I have t-shirts that say Cowboys or Rangers and I have caps that are Cowboys or Rangers.

That's it.

Lol, I have a Alexander Wright autographed rookie card laying around somewhere.

I'm not sure if it was a charity event the store BC Sports Collectibles was really strict about who was going in and out (they really only wanted you going in if you were in line to meet Vick) Knowing how people are around here had we beatin the eagles the line probaly would've been cut in half.

I have always felt that way too.

I was fortunate enough to shake hands with Tom Landry twice. No converstion, he was busy, .. but a good handshake and eye to eye contact that I will never forget. I sort of smiled I am sure and told him it was real nice to meet him.

I shook hands with Roberto Clemente when I was 15, .. he put his hand on my shoulder. Good story with that.

I got his autograph that day, but lost it since then.

I seriously don't think I would walk across the street to shake hands with Vick.

Wonder if you brought a box of milkbone, would he have autographed....ah never mind....

You mean like Choice did for his little two year old nephew? (as if the brat knew what it was)
