Metal roof vs Asphalt

I'm looking to redo my roof in the next couple months. I was wondering if any people have/installed metal roofs and what their opinions were of them, cost comparisons etc. Any feedback is appreciated.

Cost was high but I love it. No maintenance and it looks great

Metal as in corrogated copper? Anodized metal? Both fade much faster than shingles. Do you live in extreme heat or a high wind environment? Something reflective to keep cooling costs tolerable but n summer. Attic insulation will play a factor in your decision. Lots of things to consider.

Is your house good enough to justify the expense of a metal roof? No sense putting a silver crown on an oatmeal box.
