Magnitude 8 earthquake just hit Mexico and they say to expect tsunamis. Mother nature is very angry
An earthquake of a preliminary magnitude of 8.0 struck off the coast of Chiapas, Mexico, late on Thursday local time, the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center (PTWC) said, citing USGS data. The PTWC said that hazardous tsunami waves were possible within the three hours following the quake along some coasts of Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Panama, Honduras and Ecuador.
8.1 is insaneHoly moly, man.
Imteresting. My Astronomy club recorded the earthquake. (We host a seismograph for the USGA at our observatory) It's a seismograph recording of the earthquake in Mexico from Westport,Connecticut. I'm not sure if this is a still shot or a picture that continuously updates so the reading could fall off the image over time.
