Wife attended Bowling Green. Meyer coached Bowling Green.
Daughter attended Florida. Meyer coached Florida.
Long-time Buckeyes fan. Meyer coached Buckeyes.
Long time Cowboys fan. Meyer coaches Cowboys?

Would be VERY weird for me, but there it is.

Be kool if it happened, I’m a 75% Meyer guy

Meyer is just a familiar name for Cowboys fans to cling to while Jerry searches for a green coach for him to make his next project.

Yall keep talkin bout new coaches but we’re fixin to make the playoffs and a Super Bowl run.

Never underestimate Jones' ability to find a reason to keep Garrett. That's his Landry and he's not going to give up on the delusion easily.

Not happening....... Jerry's man crushes on Garrett is far too strong.
It's not happening because Meyer is a tough guy that will intimidate Jerry. Think Parcells. Jerry will higher a "nice guy" he can control and manipulate.

I'm really not into the meaningless jibber jabber predictions and wishes. But it came up on my Yahoo feed. Made me think for a second....and I said holy sheet what if he DOES get offered and takes it.

I hope so, but we're dealing with a delusional owner here. I'm afraid winning our pathetic division will be all Garrett needs to be extended.

That is what scares me. Dallas can not win the division at all costs or there is a high chance Garrett is back, even with a first round exit.

I can’t take another five years with him........

I certainly understand your concerns when it comes to Jerry 'quitting' Garrett once and for all. And I won't completely rest easy until it becomes official. But when it's come to the point where your failed head coach project has you humiliated and cursing and getting bounced off of the radio? Yeah, there's no coming back from that. Men of Jones' influence and ego don't deal well with being made to look like a fool, and that's exactly what Garrett and his team's performance are doing to Jerry.

I've never wished for the firing of coach or player. I've always accepted what the organization does. But this is out of hand now. It's an uncontrollable train off the tracks. I watch other teams play (no, not just Patriots), they fly around making plays all over the place. We score on the opening drive and act like the job is done.

I may be wrong thinking this, but i THINK that Jerry knows he can't afford another "yes man" now. He needs change and in a big way. This season is crumbling before his eyes with players quitting on the coach (so it seems), an increasingly infuriated fan base and the pundits just BLASTING the Cowboys at every opportunity. The boat is sinking fast... and a patch just aint gonna cut it. He needs a new boat... stat.

This is just what i think but also maybe closer to what i HOPE is going on in Jerry's mind.
