Miami WR Xavier Restrepo ran a 4.83 40 at his pro day

Sometimes the time and the video tell a different story - nope....

Wonder if something was just wrong with him?

Very productive WR that just gets open. If he's there in the 6th/7th, I'd have no problem taking him

Someone mentioned he'd be a guy Belichick would love and I agree. I don't think even the 40 would scare him away.

If he doesn't get drafted he will be a priority free agent. He was too productive not to be.
He'll get drafted. Probably in the 5th. He is a slot only guy, and those guys dont really need speed. He is pretty much guaranteed to be productive

I normally wouldn't believe something like this, but it's the only explanation for a WR running a 4.8 (at a pro day no less). It's simply not possible to be that slow, right?!

Sometimes a team gets a steal because of some crazy unfortunate reason, wonder if X can be one those guys.

Hot news from South Florida on Restrepo who is a bigger version of Cole Beasley:
Restrepo said Tuesday in a post on his personal X (formerly Twitter) account that his right hamstring tightened up during warmups before running the 40-yard dash, which “prohibited me to opening up and running my fastest.” He went on to say that he had been consistently running between 4.53 and 4.58 seconds for two weeks before Pro Day “and thought I could still pull it off.”

This kid set all kinds of records at the U. He is an expert at separation.
“Restrepo is a route chef who reeks of urgency and plays much faster than the stopwatch is likely to time him,” Zierlein continued. “His footwork, leverage and burst allowed consistent separation from man coverage on the college level

Wonder if he'll run it again at some random event to show that it was his hamstring acting up or not

If true, that puts a different spin on this whole thread.

:muttley: Where are all the Restrepo fanatics?
I am one. He would perform day one for the Cowboys. Jalen Tolbert has been a bust, a waste. You do not draft a WR in the 3rd round if he cannot produce in his 1st year. Terrance Williams and Michael Gallop were also third rounders, but who produced some good results the first year. Dak needs a safety valve and Restrepo would be a steal in the 5th round, a plug and play 3rd receiver. He will be a fan favorite. Just because he is white, do not downgrade him. He is a dog, a tough, tried and proven receiver who broke the U's all time records. If Boys get T-Mac or Ebuka in a trade down, get a RB at 44, picking up Restrepo in 5th round would create an unparalleled boost to the offense.
