Bland should be higher. Unfortunately DPOY is usually a “who has the most sacks” award.

Which proves it’s mostly a popularity contest. If Bland breaks the record at five pick sixes and finishes with 10+ picks total, he should be a shoe in for DPOY.

As for Micah… he deserves it…. His sacks don’t even tell the whole story of the impact he has. When we play teams who get the ball out quick he’s still getting pressure.

Against the giants he wasn’t needed at all. So idk why ppl thought he had a “bad game”.

Unfortunately for Micah Myles garret is having a great year again… and the browns are playing well. But if Micah has 3 consecutive runner up DPOY I’d say that’s still pretty dam impressive

Not necessarily all about sacks but edge rushers do have a huge impact on the game, with pressures and QB hits. They can completely wreck a game like Miles Garrett did a couple of weeks ago. He had 3.5 sacks and 5 tackles, along with a batted pass. Despite QB issues, Cleveland continues to win games because of their defense led by Garrett. Cleveland has won games with at least three different QBs.
