Saw that watching the game last night but didn't take a second look. Was it a cheap shot? If he hit him below the neck then no, but Micah was tied up with the OT and Fornette blind sided him. If wasn;t like they were one on one. But the hit was actually to the head with the shoulder pad and it looked intentional. Had Micah gotten a concussion I think there would be a fine coming Fornette's way. Who knows, there may be one anyway because the league wants to stop the unnecessary blows to the head.

Hard for me to say this needs to be taken out of the game. He hit him clean but he was rather defenseless.

I don't see a lot of players get hurt on this type of play. Their pride maybe but this isn't like an illegal chop block that hurts players all the time.
He was engaged with a 300lb lineman, then blindsided by Fournette.

If chop blocks are illegal, what Fournette did should be too IMO.

Tampa planned that and was willing to take the penalty on that play because Micah was obliterating that side.

Fournette went shoulder pad to face mask. If any o-lineman in this league blocked like that or Zeke did, a ref would call it. That is certainly a play the refs could have made a call on.

Even on 1 of Micah's sacks, I believe the 2nd one. He was being held by the LT and he still got around. No flag though.

Not making excuses because our WR's were terrible, as was Dak. But Tampa's CB, Carlton Davis was getting away with a lot last night.

Godwin's catch before the big Julio gain also hit the ground. No review inside the 2 minutes by the refs. More points on the board after that.

The penalties started coming, especially from Steele in the 4th when Tampa was just blitzing and playing prevent. They knew we had no run option by that point.

We just couldn't execute anything in the passing game at anytime last night. The run game was moving along but still need better run calls.

Should be going at their corners wheels like they were doing to Diggs who clearly wanted none of it last night.

Tampa also stayed away from DLaw's side running and went left and when passing switched their WR's deep and went after Brown who really didn't play poorly, just real good catches by Julio Jones and Mike Evans in good 1 on 1 coverage.

Tampa played smart sound offensive football and got away with some things. Their defense controlled a terrible passing attack, even claims to know what we were going to do.

A fat running back knocking over a LB on a blindside chip while he is engaged with another player? That is some hall of fame stuff right there from Fournette.
Agree. Cheap shot on the blind side from a fat running back. Let's see him running at Parsons head on - Micah would knock his block off into next week.

Blind side? Fournette hit him straight on. Micah just wasn't looking. He needs to be aware of a potential chip. Micah's not the only one to get his pride hurt.

Ya, that is why I mentioned the chop block because they are similar. The biggest difference one is a clean shot to the body and the other can blow a knee out.

If Micah ever faces that fat running back again he will ruin him. Some people are programmed differently and are ultra competitive. They don't forget sh1t like that.

This block is certainly not "blindside" in the traditional definition of the word, but Parsons was completely engaged with the offensive tackle making it very easy for Fournette to come in and knock him out. All I am trying to say is Fournette pretending this is some massive, impressive block he threw is just comical.

This is the pertinent point especially if the league is trying to seriously reduce collisions to the head and life threatening concussion issues later in life.

I don't see this as a particularly egregious foul by Fournette. Cut blocking is far worse than what Fournette did. Micah just needs to learn from this and keep his head on a swivel.

If you ban something like this, you may as well just play flag football and be done with all contact.

Smh Micah needs to log off.

Can’t post it cause it contains NSFW language, but go look at Micah’s Twitter right now to see for yourself.

It’s in response to this play.

Don't be what Micah said and post it...kidding...lol!

I can see both sides...

Parsons had to know fournette was right there from when they lined up however fournette intentionally went for the shoulder/neck area. Absolutely no reason to chip shot him high like that.

It's a great block against someone not looking...same as a defenseless Wr or crack back block in my book, maybe not as dangerous but same premise
