Micah, can you just be a bit more humble?

...and stop commenting on social media about work-related issues? Every other day, there's a new story about what Micah has to say about whoever/whatever. Wish he would just shut up and play football, which - undeniably - he does extremely well. I just think he puts a lot of bad karma out there.
Couldn't have said it better if I spent an hour penning rough drafts.

How much time do you spend reading Micah's social media? I spend no time reading what he writes. Why do people care so much about what they say on social media? That takes time and energy I don't have.

I don't care what Micah says as long as he continues to play like he does. It's about time this team got an attitude. Just be sure you back it up.
This. Dallas has been regularly bullied by likely lesser teams that played with an edge for years...

The '07 Giants for example. They were thrashed 2x in the regular season by Dallas.

Then the Cowboys found out they had a glass jaw when they failed to separate from them in the Divisional Round. The Jints ended up stealing their Super Bowl rings 2 games later.

Micah will have none of it.

It’s the times we live in, everyone under 35 is on social media 24/7. Deal with it boomer! Did I do that correctly? :muttley:
Yup, including at every red light in Dallas. Then when the light turns green look in your rear view mirror,
the dingbats will still be sitting there! :banghead:

This. I'm not on Twitter so I can't (and don't wanna) see what he's commenting on. But as long as he keeps playing the way he does I don't care.

Still would like all our guys to stay away from it, but those are the times.

To be fair, I used to think the same way that the OP does, but Micah is slowly winning me over. Micah is just part of the social media generation and that is something old farts my age have a hard time relating to. Young players like Micah are revolutionizing the NFL and how the league relates to its fans. It won't be long before you start seeing more active NFL players doing what Micah is doing. You may even start seeing players from different teams mixing it up on weekly podcasts. Imagine before and after trash talking sessions and what ratings that would bring! Just saying that times are changing and players like Micah are leading the way!

Don’t read them, grow a pair and quit the incessant whining.

I used to think like you on this topic then I listened to his podcast yesterday. He is not what you think he is. He is very humble and praises everyone. Take a listen to it.

Micah has never been timid when it comes to boasting. Evidently, it's a strong element of his nature to do so. I'm willing to tolerate it, as long as he's happy being his aggressive self. Some things are better left alone. Just think about it, if you will . . .
In his case, discouraging his aggressive nature might be a wise thing to avoid . . .

I think that what makes Parsons such a great football player are some of the attributes that give him his personality and his demeanor. These attributes are also responsible for annoying some of the Cowboys fans.

In order to change his behavior you would have to force him to change his attitude, his demeanor, his personality. Such a change might make him more acceptable to some fans but it could also change the way he plays the game of football.

We all realize that nobody is perfect. If I decide to attach myself in some way to a person, be it emotional, professional, or entertainment wise, I won't be happy unless I accept that person's flaws. Actually, that's probably the reason I'm happily married. My wife knows I can be an idiot and she overlooks that mostly because I do seem to have more qualities that she appreciates.

Micah Parsons isn't trying to hurt anybody. He's not evil, he's just young and famous and he wants to enjoy it. I think most people realize this and consider the source. After all, how could an older adult allow himself to be offended by a young man, aged 24, who is simply participating in social media?

Amazing athlete! He’s gonna get paid! And he’s worth every penny!

Some people fuel themselves up by talking smack. It gives them something to live up to. If it makes him more determined to be great, I'm all for it.

Every time Micah's comments in social media irk you I thoughtfully advise that you just happily sing "Ah Shaddup Your Face" by Joe Dolce. It will be cathartic for you. No go on making Parson parsimonious.

Typically I side with the OP. But when a guy talks and also backs up the talk then nobody can complain about it.

Long as he produces he can say w/e he wants, the man is hungry dont stand in his way or you be next.
