Having cooper in the SF game might have helped cowboys win that game, so is that worth his salary?
If they had won I think it would.
We win with Coop *instead* of Gallup and Schulz, and have extra money left over, and no guaranteed money next year.

Someone inform Micah that the NFL is a Cap league and we failed to utilize Coop's true potential on the field for the dollars that were being paid.
Under the above circumstances, it was the correct move and we were lucky to get a 5th for him instead of us releasing him for squat.
P.S. Let's not forget we lost a # 1 pick for Coop.

Why? Jerry needs to hear it from the players. He doesn’t hear it from anyone else.
Jerry isnt listening to no one. You dont think in past players have said stuff? you dont think he's blasted in the media? He isnt concerned with winning a championship hes about the brand and about the benjamins and being relevant. All these players nowadays tend to use these media platforms to run their yapper It gets old. I just think this generation of athlete are attention ****** But thats just me if you like this stuff that's your choice.

I wish theyd all shut it. a perfect example was all that social media garbage yesterday with JuJu and AJ and I think a few others were involved. Its just stupid.

I am 1000% percent okay with this. It's about time a player started to hold this FO accountable. The status quo of 28 years is older than Jerry at this point.

Dak defenders not going to call out Lamb for basically saying the whole team around Dak sucks, but Micah saying he has no idea why Cooper was traded, even though it was probably because he called out the QB, like Micah called out the QB after the 49ers game.
you so pathetic you are incapable of posting without being dak related. I wish CeeDee would stay out of media as well and handle business in house but that being said its one thing to talk about team needs which was on point btw and another thing to whine about youre teamates and trades that have been done for a year. Especially when you didnt perform on the big stage against your matchup with Trent williams very favorably. Micah Is my favorite player but he has too much TO in him. Shut up and play

You know, this “salary” excuse is the same excuse Stephen Jones made about Dez. The following comes from CowboysWire,

Stephen Jones greased skids for Dez Bryant salary reduction or release

Of course we pay Dez a lot of money, and he knows that. He’s as aware of it as anybody. … He knows when you get paid that kind of money there’s high expectations in terms of the productivity. … Those are all things we have to look at as a team, as an organization when we start to put our team together next year.”
In reality though, it was about Dak Prescott. I’d post the links, but sometimes the filters “block” it. The article is fro Bleacher Report, titled

Dez Bryant Rips Stephen Jones' 'Scapegoat S--t' After Cowboys Exec's Criticism

Additionally, SB Nation's Thomas George spoke to a team source who said the team moved on from Bryant because of how he was affecting Prescott.

"Yeah, it’s fair to say that," the executive said. "Obviously, everything we do around here has to add to the foundation of our franchise guy. We have to give Dak the best opportunity to grow. We will."

For his part, Prescott has denied that he had any say in the Cowboys' decision to show Bryant the door.

"I'm in my second year so as much as you want to say, 'I want a say and this and that,' those guys get paid a lot more than me, and that's what those guys are there to do," Prescott said, per the Dallas Morning News' Jon Machota. "That's not my decision."
This quote is clear that the decisions the FO make are with what is “best” from Dak Prescott. The era of Dak Prescott is the Jason Garrett project all over again, but at QB. BTW, this is the quote that Dez was referring to from Stephen Jones.

Jones actually told SiriusXM, “[Dak Prescott] has got to trust the system, which at times last year, there was pressure, with Dez in his ear and to some degree Jason [Witten] in his ear. Those great players want the ball.” But the initial Twitter post from the official SiriusXM account read, “Dak is working on his game and accuracy. He has to trust the system. I think that was tough last year with @DezBryant in his ear.”
The direction of this organizations since Dak has been here has been about HIM, so no matter what his zealots deny, the FO has baby-sat this mediocre QB at the expense of the team.

This quote also tells us Dak FORCES the ball and we all see that now with all his pick 6s and mind-boggling, head scratcher throws.

So Jerry got rid of Cooper because for $20M he didn't feel he was getting the proper return on that money......but.......:

Michael Gallup got a 5-year $57M deal with $27M guaranteed to produce 39 catches for 424 yards and 4 td's

Tyron Smith had a $17M cap hit in 2022 (after missing 14 games in 2020 & 6 games in 2021) and gave Dallas 4 games played

DeMarcus Lawrence had a $14M cap hit in 2022 and gave Dallas 6 sacks as a highly-paid pass rusher (3 of the sacks were in week 3 and 0 sacks in the last 7 games)

Zeke had a $18M cap hit in 2022 and had his worst stats of his career in his 15 games played

So clearly there was more to the Cooper story than Jerry's BS cost vs. production statement especially seeing as how Cooper had his 2nd best season of his career in 2022 with a back-up QB most of the season.

Calm down bro, it’s not that serious to call me pathetic. Sound like a lot of rage. At least roast me and make it creative.

Dak didn’t need to get on Twitter, as he had Tad and his boys doing it for him. But since it was pretty obvious, somebody probably told them to tone it down. I wouldn’t be surprised if Todd France’s agency got guys doing it for Dak now to maintain his “brand image”.

Everyone was confused when it happened, but the FO says it was salary.
As soon as FA opened up, he was a bargain at WR. This is where the Cowboys front office continues to fail. They have a mega billionaire doing tactical work and he doesn't have the drive, or even care to put in the sweat equity. I have been saying for several years now, Jerry is satisfied, fat and happy.
He does not even have SB on his top 10 to do list. He cares about maximizing revenue and profit. He has the golden goose within the golden goose league.
He wants to stay in the spotlight from the media and be talked about, all PR is good PR. Dak is overpaid, Romo overpaid, Zeke, Cooper. Every year he sells the fans that we are one player away.
If it wasn't for Romo fumbling, it wasn't for Crayton dropping a pass, or Romo hurting his back against Washington, Dez caught the ball, Dak played great as a rookie, we beat Russel Wilson, the team competed against the Rams. Dak broke his ankle, what a valiant come back against the Falcons, list goes on and on and on.

Great FO's go and out try to win every year. Look at the Eagles. They saw an opportunity in the draft and traded for AJ Brown, he changed their offense.
The Ravens traded a 2nd round pick for Smith, that trade was there for all teams in the league. Imagine a defense with Parsons and Smith.

Our FO is not vested in winning, they just wat to be in the middle. That is the worst place to be in any league. It's been that way

Join the club Micah, the list is long of those questioning Jerry's decisions since he thought there were 500 coaches that could lead this team to a Superbowl since Jimmy was forced out because of Jerry's ego.........

This kid loves speaking to the media more than Jerry does. I appreciate him calling Jerry out though.

Just saying, you don't see guys like Aaron Donald, Myles Garrett, and Nick Bosa yuck it up with the media as frequently as #11 does.
Bosa always in San Francisco media. I don’t know about the other two
