Micah expected to ask for $200 million

You trust them to draft the correct way? It’s funny how y’all think sometimes.
Why not, they drafted Micah in the first place. Get two players who only have 80-90% of Micah's ability at 10% of the cost. It's how you build a team vs paying a few super stars.

We are going to pay him for his peak, but it won't coincide with the team's peak.

Micah's play and current value is based on insane athleticism, but his production routinely fades down the stretch every year because his body can't hold up to the workload.

I just don't think he's got that many years of mega deal play left, and we're not ready to contend anyway.

We'd be better served trading him for a Mack type haul.
Agreed

Jerry can't sign him right now.

What would training camp be like without some major contract distraction to create uncertainty and loss of focus?

The Cowboys are going through their third DC in as many seasons and Parsons is the most important contributor on defense.

But, hey, think of the fantastic amount of media coverage this should bring when he holds out before the preseason games

You sound like Miss Cleo.

Having the highest paid player on offense as well as defense ought to mean “real good things for our football team,” as Jerry grins and bounces the head. It’s all about the paycheck. He sure seems proud when it’s time to give out a record high deal.

He’s better than Bosa and those saying otherwise don’t know ball and just don’t like Micah because he talks a lot.

The stats and eyeballs that function well prove it.
Bosa is a game changing defender that elevates in big games. Micah disappears in big games. I am floored you would think Micah is a better player. There is not a GM in the game outsider of Frisco that would trade Bosa for Parsons. Not one.

This is why the Cowboys FO is trash at contracts too many media leaks to stay in the gossip. Just do the deal or don't, I for one, don't want to here about every detail of nothingness. Cowboys don't have the nuts to trade Micah, so I don't know why ppl continue to bring it up.

They are both great players.

But the stats show that Micah is more productive at getting sacks, and TFLs, and pressures, and forced fumbles, and QB hits, and solo tackles. But I guess those don’t matter.

Bosa also plays on a better team, with a better DL next to him, and better LBs, and a better HC, and GM.

You can argue that Bosa is better against the run but Micah is better in coverage.

Like Dak, you'd think these were guys who were key pieces in getting us over the hump to a Super Bowl as opposed to guys on a team that does nothing year after year. Anyway, pay him 300 mil, who cares? We aren't using that money for outside help, anyway.

“there is not a GM in the game” that would trade draft assets to acquire a guy asking for a $200 million deal.
