Micah expected to ask for $200 million

Sounds about right for opening offer. It certainly is obtainable. If he were a free-agent he could get that, and if he gets to free agency at a young age playing at the level he does he will get that. But here it's a good starting point.

First, Money is insane. if the NFL wants to tackle anything, how about the control of money so people can afford to go to games?

Anyway, trade him, get the picks. We are not going to be relevent,, no way are we catching the Eagles. Just start a huge rebuild.

They are both great players.

But the stats show that Micah is more productive at getting sacks, and TFLs, and pressures, and forced fumbles, and QB hits, and solo tackles. But I guess those don’t matter.

Bosa also plays on a better team, with a better DL next to him, and better LBs, and a better HC, and GM.

You can argue that Bosa is better against the run but Micah is better in coverage.
Stats??? Besides last years injury what stats are you looking at? Watching the games I see Bosa as a monster in the playoffs. I see Micah doing nothing. Come on man.

You sound like Miss Cleo.
Just identifying a trend and projecting what seems likely based on the trend so far.

Micah will be 28 in 2 years with 4 years left on a $200M extension. 40M should be roughly 12% of the cap by then.

It depends on how the contract is structured, but that’s the top end of what you want committed to a non QB. If he is less than 80% of the pass rusher he is now, it’s not worth it.

Just not a risk I would want to take on a guy who fades throughout the season.

Not for this team.

Is Micah in Nick Bosa’s category? I don’t think so.
Look at the numbers. He absolutely is. Only some Cowboys fans think that he is not.

Bosa has 53.5 sacks the last five years (66 games). Parsons has 52.5 (63 games).

Same time period, Parsons has 256 tackles to Bosa's 214.

If an agent didn't ask for the most for his client, how long do you think he would stay in business for?

"Hey, I'm going to tell you to sign the teams first offer, trust me it's good. Think of the other guys they can pay more now". Just ignore that the team is sitting on 40mil of cap space and didn't sign anyone outside of a few guys over 1 year deals.

Maybe Micah won't be making his agent not relent on any request, but people freaking out over 5 mil aav on these huge deals are just looking to complain.

The cap is going up every year by huge increments. Contracts can be restructured to free up current year cap space. Micah at 35 or 40mil makes no difference to teams, especially in 3 years if the cap goes up 50-70 mil in that time frame. The key items to worry about over total is the guarantees and how it's structured.
Owners are making millions to hundred of millions per year. I'm not going to vilify Parsons asking for the max he can when the FO is too lazy to build a contender.

Posters were wonder how Diggs got 23mil a year until it came out only 37% of his contract was guaranteed.
Plus, the agent gets a percentage of the contract that he negotiates for his client, so you know they want to make as much as they can.

Yeah, little Micah is a bad mutha(shut your mouth).
Watch him walk...mamma feed the kid milk.

Trade the kid as fast as yesterday.

This is the Cowboys. Don't be surprised if it isn't done until camp. The Joneses get in no big hurry to reach a megadeal until there is some kind of deadline pressure. They don't need the money for free agency, so there's no pressure.

More like minutes before kickoff of the first game.
