Twitter: Micah has handshake deal in place

A “generational player” who will win no SBs with this team
Like DeMarcus Ware before him? Like Jason Witten before him? Like Tyron Smith of Zack Martin? What's your point? We shouldn't have "generational players" just because we are unlikely to win any SBs?

Parsons may be fine with the amount but his agent probably wont be.
This is why management should not be “negotiating” with a player with their agent not there. It is considered unprofessional at least and unethical at worst.

Most players cannot be objective and in many instances don’t always know the particulars of contract terminology. NFL contracts are a lot more than just the amount of money being paid.

For some strange reason, Jerry is one of those mega-wealthy people who sees contract negotiations as a game in which he is a competitor. He seemingly wants to “win” contracts more than playoff games.

The circus is almost over...

Knowing full well it’s for more than one year and in Texas a handshake agreement is not valid unless the duties required can be completed in one year. This is nonsense and Micah is about to hammer Jerry.

What kind of idiot would put Micah’s locker next to Dak’s?

What’s the problem with it?

Uncle Jerry laying down the law.....Don't let anyone tell you different

What this doesn't say is Jerry and Stephen won't get around to calling David Mulugheta until sometime in late August.

The Jones Boys love the prolonged drama.
Seems like we heard similar stuff a month ago. Is Jerry waiting to get press coverage? Is the tiny details holding it up? Or is Jerry’s not liking his agent the issue

This whole thing is really stupid on the Jones' side. We all know what the deal is going to look like, any fan can look up what the highest paid edge rushers are.

Give Micah a similar deal, add some more guaranteed money so he can claim to be "highest paid", and move on with it. This could have been done months ago.
Top 51 cap is 32M

With their 2026 rollover, that leaves 12-15M

Micah’s base is 24M

Gotta rework his deal to get 40M base

A deal will have been reached when a contract has been signed.

Jerry or Stephen will throw a little paragraph in there that the agent doesn't like and it's back to square #1.

It could be a 200M deal.
