Twitter: Micah has handshake deal in place

What’s the problem with it?
You’re one of the very best at your position in the NFL. You’re seeking a contract extension. The guy next to you plays for the same team, is not anywhere near the best at his position in the NFL, and is the highest paid player in the NFL, ever. Will Micah be encouraged to seek all he can?

You do the math.

I don’t see your point. At all. But based on your history here, I know where you’re coming from. Your hate for Dak.

Micah will want compensation commensurate with his standing among his peers in the NFL. If his teammate at the locker next to him garners it he’ll want similar consideration.

If Dak can be rewarded to the degree he is, shouldn’t Micah be, as well?

Maybe Im misunderstanding you, but are you saying Micah wants north of $60M/yr (which is $20M+ more than Myles Garrett) because he see's a QB getting that much? Surely you don't think that's true.

So you’re saying putting Micah next to Dak has driven up his contract. Wow I’ve never seen hate go this far.

Commensurate with his standing among his peers. As in, other defenders.

Something about Jerry's reply to calling Micah's agent signals that his handshake means absolutely nothing. Micah isn't wise enough to know that handshakes means zero until it's in print and signed by both parties involved. It's a sure thing that his agent takes a dim view of his actions.

Jerry's wise-guy reply about responding to Micah's agent disrespectfully speaks volumes to the fact that Jerry's really not taking him seriously. For Micah to attempt negotiating without his agent being involved only reveals how antsy he's getting. He's just kidding himself if he thinks it means he's likely getting his way minus his agent's input.

One can only imagine how frustrating listening to that was for Micah to hear Jerry make fun of his agent's name. That little jab likely went to give Micah a hint that he most likely wasn't being taken seriously, at all. Jerry will drag things out as long as he feels willing and able to do so. Bad idea.

Top 51 cap is 32M

With their 2026 rollover, that leaves 12-15M

Micah’s base is 24M

Gotta rework his deal to get 40M base
lol.

My friend.

You were the same person that said they couldn’t sign anyone and couldn’t sign Dak because of the cap.

Sorry. Your views and opinions on the cap of this team mean nothing.

You also think Mingo is going to be a superstar and Zeke coming back was great for this team.

Just go away.

I have no idea what point you are attempting to make

Like DeMarcus Ware before him? Like Jason Witten before him? Like Tyron Smith of Zack Martin? What's your point? We shouldn't have "generational players" just because we are unlikely to win any SBs?
Points are

1. These were great players not generational players like Emmitt, Ray Lewis, Mahomes, Brady etc Generational players are not just uber talented with a great work ethic, they are able to inspire their team to championships. Parsons has to show us he can do that.

2. Generational players are all about championships and not about money. They understand that money will follow championships but that is not what drives them. Parsons is driven by money.

3. When you pay good or great players like generational players, you are a stupid FO and you set your team back years from truly competing for a championship like we have by paying Dak and Diggs and now Parsons

4. Great teams dont rely on one player (except a great QB in football) rather build a sound team like Philly or Detriot or Bills. They are competing, we are sloppy seconds
