Okay I have a question and can’t find which Micah thread to put it in so I’m just going to ask here. I know if Micah doesn’t play this year then this year won’t count as a year on his contract. Well I think. I guess I have several questions about the legality, not the probability/possibility.

Question 1. As I understand it if Micah refuses to play this year then 2025 will not count as a year on his contract. So as I understand it if he sits out every game but 6 games then 2025 is basically voided and he would be on the books for 24 million for 2026. To get credit for this season he’d have to be willing to play 6 games. Is that correct?
Question 2. This is my main question. What if Micah’s “back injury” doesn’t get better according to him and team doctors do a physical and can’t find anything wrong but he claims injury and no doctor can find anything. Then the Cowboys deactivate him on their own accord for conduct detrimental to the team (just like the Patriots did with Terry Glenn and the Bucs did with Keyshawn Johnson) and Micah doesn’t play a down this year due to the Cowboys’ decision. Would 2025 count as a veteran year for Micah?

Again I’m asking about the CBA rules and legality, not if either of these scenarios could happen.

No you dont always pay the player, but Micah parsons is a no brainer. He’s the guy you either pay early or you trade pre draft if demands are unrealistic.

Plus what was Jerry’s offer? How can he have an offer out there if he’s never spoken to the agent?
