Any down where micah is not rushing the qb, is a wasted down
I've heard that, but I've also seen games where teams do what Arizona did - use that against him. They ran at him a lot more than Tank because the dude blocking Micah has 60-70 pounds on him. They also used read options to make him choose which way to go. Not every team can do options but they all can run right at him. He'll either take himself out of the play by going upfield quickly or have to wrestle with a 320 pound tackle.

I think Micah would be an ideal TJ Watt type outside LB/edge rusher in a 3-4 but the Cowboys don't have the roster to run that scheme. I just hope he doesn't fade like he did last season (1 sack the last 7 games) because he's constantly taking on much bigger dudes.

He is a light DE. He isn’t a power rusher like Bosa who can just overpower people. You can’t put him in the middle and ask him to shed 320 lb guards. So, Micah is being used at what he does best….. get to the QB. But when you give up 250 yards rushing to the opponent , they aren’t needing to drop back and throw a whole lot and opponents can take him out of the game that way. It’s a copy cat league so get ready for a lot of teams trying to copy what AZ did.

The game at Minnesota in his rookie year where he was at LB was still the best game of his career. He was everywhere...they couldn't run or pass on the defense!

I would rather see him as a QB spy type LB and let him decide what to do based on the pre-snap movement. 13 offense and he is in blitz mode, 21 or 12 offense and he is in follow the ball mode.

Let’s take the best defensive player in football and move him to a spot he’s average at..

Sounds good..

3rd season and we are still debating this, when it was clear to many commentators how to use him. How can we make him the highest paid defensive player if we are still debating how to use him.?

He should be on the edge but we should bring back more traditional 3-4 alignments even against formations you’d typically bring in nickel.

He should only rush on obvious passing downs. We suck lb. He needs play lb some. Stop the foolishness.
yeah but he wants the sacks and the glory that comes with that.
He has a big ego he has to feed. The only time I saw him get excited was when he got his 1st sack this last game.

another thing is end rusher pays more than LB .

naw, he needs to be on special teams. He can be the punter and field goal kicker the running back and most likely the next QB. He's that good. Maybe they can let him call the offensive plays next week too while doing interviews on the sidelines.
Maybe they can let him call the offensive plays next week............ might help ! Play RB for 1 qrt

I don't think Micah is the only problem but I get the logic. Micah rushes very aggressively and he takes himself out of plays. Arizona exploited that in the first half Sunday. But I would ask, when Micah rushes, where is everyone else? Micah was rushing like that week 1 and 2 as well. The difference is, the Safeties and other LBs were filling the void. That did not happen Sunday.

I don't know what happened but where was Donovan Wilson on that 44 yard Dobbs run? Maybe he is rusty and needs time to get re-acclimated to game speed. Remember the first two weeks how Juanyeh Thomas and Markquese Bell were coming up and making plays? The Cowboys missed that kind of play against the Cardinals.
Someone else finally realizes this thank you!!!! Runs right up field he needs to rush up, fight back in or something. They see this and they run right past him

How about the other 10 players do their freaking jobs and we continue to let Micah be one of the most dominant rushers in the league?

I think we had a lot of freelancing going on with the front 7. I'm sure Quinn will rain them in this week. Otherwise, bilichek will attack.
