Micah Parsons is the best medicine for Tyron Smith

It is well documented that Tyron Smith has missed time over the past several seasons due to injury. Even though he came back last year after missing most of the season, he didn't look like the Tyron Smith of old. The very best remedy for Smith, and the best way to get him back into his old All-Pro form, is to have Micah Parsons beat him like a drum in training camp so that he has to focus and get better. Parsons beats everyone, even All-Pro players. It is a huge asset to have him compete against Tyron in training camp.

So, when I hear about Parsons beating Tyron, my response is, "Good! Go get him, Micah."

Tyron just trying to swat the jumping and biting piranhas off of him right now.

It’s probably not doing Tyron’s confidence any good having Parsons run around him all day, but he won’t be facing anyone like that in the regular season.

Parsons is the young puppy at the park. Tyron is the old dog with grey on his snout. Parsons is of course gonna be more hyper and have energy, but when that old dog decides he's had enough of the young pup he usually can do it pretty efficiently. We are in training camp and Smith is just trying to get some reps and get to the regular season healthy. He's going to lose a few snaps to Parsons. Once the games count is when Tyron will most likely decide the young pups need to lay down for a bit.

At this moment, Tyron is just trying to stay healthy. He’s not going to over exert himself in practice and I’m sure the Cowboys don’t want them to. He’ll step it up when game day gets here.

He shouldn’t have a confidence issue. He is a first ballot hofer imo
The point is, he’s not playing at a Hall of Fame level now. Even he knows he’s not at the level he once was. He just has to maintain enough confidence to know he can still get the job done.

Yep. Tyron Smith is probably one of the last players on this entire team I'm worried about going into the season. His health is a big concern. His play. Not worried at all.

If he wasn’t going close to full out Parsons would literally run by him untouched. He’s not a player you go at half speed against.

It's good for Tyron to practice against the best, but the results of that practice should not be taken at face value.
The big guys don't put their *full* strength out in team practice, particularly against smaller guys.
Once upon a time, Tyron broke Gregory in camp. Maybe DeMarcus too. That was enough of that.

Maybe not half speed, but likely half strength. You don't want to hurt your own team.

He’s probably not putting out 100% effort. When it comes to Tyron, it’s all about trying to stay healthy for games. I’m sure the Cowboys hold their breath every time he practices.

Tyron might have been told "Don't break Parsons in TC and practice."

Tyron knows he needs to stay healthy and be in the best shape he can. He knows what to do. I don't see how Parsons beating him is going to accomplish either of those.

Ya Micah might make him last 6 weeks instead of 9
Parsons is smart enough to respect the old vets.
He isn't even showing Tyron his full gear yet, and MP getting close to Dak, they need that to continue.
Dak gets to practice vs the best pass rusher in the game, I said practice.
Why some peeps get upset because MP is getting a bit up front and personal while refraining somewhat... lol
Great players make good player better,, it has always proven true.

How many reps has Parsons really won? We saw some video of a few really good reps by Parsons, but that doesn't mean it happens regularly.
