Look i know he has not played a real NFL snap yet against top NFL talent. I am also not trying to anoint Parsons as the best linebacker of all time.

BUT I think it could be Interesting to ponder if we are looking a generational linebacker who may once again change the game at that position in some aspects?

At 6'3" - 246 lbs and running a 4.39 forty ( Honestly he makes others look like they are standing still ) - measurably no other linebacker really compared to him i looked up a few for examples :

Demarcus Ware - 6'4" 258lbs clocked a 4.56 forty
Lawrence Taylor - 6'3" 240lbs clocked a 4.53 forty
Derek Brooks - 6' 0" 229 lbs clocked a 4.71 forty
Lavonte David - 6'1" 233 lbs clocked a 4.66 forty
Darius Leonard - 6'2" 229lbs clocked a 4.70 forty
Bobby Wagner - 6'0" 241 lbs clocked a 4.46 forty
Derek Thomas - 6'3" 247 lbs clocked a 4.58 forty
Luke Keuechly - 6'3" 235 lbs clocked a 4.58 forty
Ray Lewis - 6'1" 240lbs clocked a 4.58 forty
Mike Singletary - 5'11" 232 lbs clocked a 4.66 forty
Patrick Willis - 6'0" 242lbs clocked a 4.56 forty
Junior Seau - 6'3" 248lbs clocked a 4.61 forty
Brian Urlacher 6'4"258lbs clocked a 4.57 forty
Von Miller - 6'3" 249lbs clocked a 4.49 forty

Only A couple Linebackers are even close in the speed department - Bobby Wagner , Lawrence Taylor , and Von Miller --- that is really nice company to be in !

Dan Quinn has been lining him up everywhere so far this preseason, and he is already Qb'ing the D - are we looking at the next LT / Ray Lewis / Demarsus Ware as far as the way teams will need to plan for micah? He will be a problem opposing teams are gonna have nightmares game planning for.

Of Course we still need to see other measurable's such as -
Does he have the intensity on game day like - LT, Mike Singletary, Ray lewis
Is he cerebral and can he prepare and diagnose a play like - Luke Keuchly, junior seau, or sean lee
Will that first step at the snap resemble - Demarcus Ware,Von Miller, or LT
Can he stay healthy

It is very early in his career like i said but If Micah Parsons can add or surpass any of these other traits some of these other linebackers have WOW Sky is the limit

I am extremely stoked about Parsons because it could just be we have a Generational Leader on D and future all time great

Yes. Parsons without a doubt has elite, absolutely elite like 99.9th percentile raw physical talent.

He also has been a HIGHLY productive defensive player in both high school and college.

He was the best defensive end in the state of PA in high school. I live in PA. So I am biased. But at the same time people who follow football in PA have known Parsons was a special talent since he was a freshman in HS.

And he was the best linebacker in college football his second and last year of playing at Penn State.

Absolutely elite athleticism and elite production at both levels.

Neither of those things guarantees success at the NFL level. But….. yes he has the ability to be one of the absolute best defenders in the league. Let’s hope he does it.

When i actually went back to look at past linebackers to compare speed and measuable's i was shocked how much faster he was then say Derrick Thomas , Brooks or Wagner who were considered fast. Others linebackers i thought were faster then there forty times showed. Honestly after looking all this up i got even more excited about Parsons Potential. It is gonna be fun to watch him for sure just so pumped honestly

Excellent job! One of the best posts of the year!

Listening to the Pat Mcafee show this week Ross Tucker said Parsons is unbelievable. He said he went to a high school football game and it was Parsons third ever high school game and he texted the GM at penn state and said you have to get down here and see this kid best defensive player I may have ever seen. Penn state offered him the next week according to Tucker.

LVE is a former All Pro that’s just been injured.

Parsons will be lucky if he has half the impact Vander Esch did as a rookie.

If anyone can give advice to a young player on how to succeed it’s him.
LVE got lit up for over 200 rushing yards in the playoffs.
He should shut his mouth when talking to Parsons.

He looks good right now with potential to be great. Time will tell.

You’re blaming dumb schemes on 1 player.

Hold Parsons to that same standard when our defense gets lit up like a Christmas tree.
