Micah Parsons would not fix this

I’m utterly disappointed in the performance of the defense this year. As a football fan, my favorite part is watching the defenses play, so the fact we don’t have one stings a bit.

All I’ve been seeing and hearing on social media, ESPN, and pretty much every NFL thread in existence is how Micah Parsons would fix the defensive issue that we currently have going on.

I disagree. I think it’s a safe bet to say, that Parsons would have been able to stop Hurts from running as much as he did against us. I also think it’s safe to say the pass rush itself would be significantly more threatening… but we have a serious secondary issue.

Trevon Diggs gets burnt more than my popcorn in the microwave. I don’t think I’ve seen him play the same since his big injury. I genuinely would put him in the top 10 worst CB’s in the NFL currently.

Daron Bland cannot stay healthy. When he comes back, I give him 3 weeks before he’s out another 5 weeks with an injury.

And the depth we didn’t have on the offense last year has now translated to us not having depth on defense. If you watch the game film, there’s without a doubt 2 issues at play here. #1 being, we do not have the personnel available to play what we’re scheming. And #2, we’re not scheming around what our strengths are.

I wasn’t concerned but now I am when I say I genuinely do believe the playoff window was missed in 2023, and by the time we re enter the playoff window may not be until 2027 at the earliest. At that point, what pieces will remain? And ignoring contract dates and cap space to ask, what pieces of the puzzle that we do have will be viable players by this time? It just seems like playing in Dallas comes with a special kind of fatigue that makes players want out just as bad as they wanted in the NFL to begin with.

That’s why I back Micah on him wanting out. Even though wanting money absolutely was involved, I do believe he wants to win. And he knows he can’t do it in Dallas.

What do you guys think? Do you think Parsons would have been able to fix this defensive issue?

Nope. He couldn't when he was here. Why on Earth would he save this defense now? People are so full of excuses for piss poor defense. Has anyone actually watched the last two games? We cannot cover anyone and we are injured at the cb position beyond belief. Then we have a d coordinator that simply refuses to try anything to simplify the coverage or get creative.

I also find it funny that Micah also just so happened to be on the field in the blowout loss to Green Bay in the playoffs, where was his magical abilities then?

Micah couldn't save GB from the Browns vaunted offense yesterday. Because it's organized team sports. One man can't do it alone. No matter what anyone tries to sell you on this mb or on TV
