Micah says he won't miss Mini Camp

Keep laughing. Jerry needs to stop putting off deals with big players for media attention.

Not the first time he’s done this. Hes going to set the market regardless, just pay him. Then let Pittsburgh reset the market with Watt.

Is it just me? Has anyone else noticed the self-imposed deadline here? In other words, I WILL NOT report/participate in training camp WITHOUT A NEW deal.

I’m preparing as if I will be on the field the first week of camp! But it’s in the owner’s hands

Mission accomplished. Micah has what he wanted for his podcast. Some of you fall for it every time.

The kid is going to be trouble, he wants a contract with money...that is his trouble will not be worth it in the long run. A man child, not a leader. Pay the fool, see what you get. He is not the one to get a SB...he has a plastic mic to talk to fools.
Well the cowboys just got through paying Dak to be the highest paid player in the NFL, and he isn’t even top 100 best players in the current NFL collection of players.

“Im a leader” “i want to win a SB” but wont honor my current contract
2025-26 season is the last year of his contract, top players don't play out their contracts... especially after Isaiah Thomas losing out on a $200M contract, different sport but same principle.

J and even if he didn’t make it who cares really why is that thing look around the league there’s lots of veteran players didn’t make OTA some of them don’t come down all the mini camps and a lot of them are in contract talks not all contracts are being done early and right away and the Cowboys are the only slow ones guess we’ll always be about the agent and the player being 2/3 of the reason they’re not getting done people around here wanna blame the Jones family for trying to get a better deal do you really know what’s going on behind closed doors ?nope none of us do....

No pat on the back is required..

Show up for work like everyone else does and the rest will work itself out...

Good for him doing what hes supposed to do under contract for 21.5 mil this season..

He's a top 3 defender in the league, so there's nothing wrong with him wanting a "contract with money".

Him going to the first week of OTA's and showing up to mini camp without an extension speaks volumes of the character that you say he doesn't have.

Seems like you'd have a problem with him no matter what he says or does in his personal life...
I disagree, the man might be top three defensive end and pass rusher in the league but it’s debatable and where he stands on total defense there’s some really great players on 32 teams defenses

so we need to calm down on top three defender he should get paid top three money at defensive end but let me clear he’s under contract 21.5 million dollars and he supposed to show up and do his job just like people at McDonald’s or anyone with job that requirs a contract....

all they are asking him to do is what he supposed to be doing until his deal is done and it will get done history says it will get done Jerry’s paid every single superstar that was a draft pick homegrown fan favorite has all been paid every single one of them......

lets not worry about this it will get taken care of but negaotions are just that 3 partys involved on a giant contract and no blank checks are required , it happens.....

Even employees at McDonald’s can quit and work for Burger King.

No matter the ranking, Micah is one of the faces of the Cowboys and he knows his value. Forcing a player to bend at the will of a contract never ends well for a team.

We really don't know what happens behind the scenes, but we do know Jerry likes to drag his feet which is a old-school and out-dated negotiating tactic. Today's players are too smart for that... which is why top players like Ceedee and Zack Martin hold out, they know their value.

I put under contract you do realize there's a big difference between businesses that have contracts versus an hourly employee go ahead quit parsons is not going to quit he can't he's not only under contract he is owned by the Dallas Cowboys meaning he can get franchise tag he wants to hold out and cause a big problem jerry's not the guy you want to do that with because he will pay you but the more you try to embarrass Jerry the more he'll make you sit around and wait and I believe this time it was the agent got under his skin but don't act like they have other options they do not they can sit down and not collect money or they can work for their $21.5 million that he's due this year at SU!!

You can discern the difference right I brought up the fact that most people don't like their jobs but they go anyway most people don't like what they're paid but they go anyway but I did put under contract so he's going to have to wait maybe three years I mean you want to get sarcastic that is what the rights are that's why the franchise tag is there and by the way the Cowboys would be smarter to franchise tag him pay him top 5 money you know at his position versus what he wants to be the highest paid non quarterback this whole nonsense that we're seeing in the league where they want to set a market for it being the highest paid skill player versus just being top two or three paid in your actual position so yeah this is a lot to do with the agents and players they're holding up contracts because now they're being a little extra greedy and I'm not saying they can't do that but you act like somehow he has an option no his options are right now he has $21 million coming to him this year he's under contract that's it there is no argument if he wants to sit out and start getting fined big money that's fine too...

Here's the problem you guys keep talking smack the media loves content creating story click dating gaslighting and all that other nonsense when he will get paid everybody that has been a homegrown drafted superstar has gotten their money from Jerry so everyone acting like it's not going to happen or just creating stories they just want ratings and clicks people just want to bash Jerry look Jerry pays his players this isn't the Mavericks getting rid of Luca Doncic because they didn't want to pay him that's right that would be what a bad GM looks like jerry's not that guy jerry just don't like being pushed he wants to do things his way in the end the players will all benefit from it they all have every single one of them show me where a superstar that was drafted by Jerry and that's a fan favorite didn't get his money they all get their money in Lester's mitigating circumstances they will all get paid so this nonsense that people at McDonald's can quit no he can't quit what do you mean Ben are you trying to tell me that we should be apathetic to a man making $21.5 million because he's under contract for that this year and that he has to wait the poor guy an extra month or two no this is the problem the agent and the player are 2/3 the issue here..

By the way why don't we have parts and sit down and interview and ask them why is it that he said at the beginning of this process he didn't need to be the highest paid skill player in the league he just wanted what was fair that he would take less than 40 million you remember when he said he didn't say 40 million now all of a sudden he was offered from what I heard 40.5 million now there must be a hold up in language or years or guaranteed money but this man lied to us his agent made him lie to us he made him a liar we all know this we don't have to know the specifics this man came out in public because he runs his mouth he likes to tell people things he said he didn't need that kind of money and yet here we are i'm betting he wants $42 million now and that is not Jerry's fault and now he's a little upset because they basically changed the price and now we have a stare down he will get his money eventually before the first game he will be paid so this is a useless post in the first place about his money but he will be if that is what he signed when he came to the NFL signed on a dotted line his contract told him about 5th year options his contract stipulated franchise tags transition tags and all that stuff the only smart people are the ones that when they finally do get their money maybe they should take $38 million but then turn around and say well we'll sacrifice being top paid I want no franchise tag no transition tag and a no trade clause like Prescott did on my next deal so right now Parsons should take less and then have those things put in there so he doesn't have to go through this again they have options that's what agents are supposed to be doing maybe being smarter and and advising his player to not push for 42 million then maybe he should take 38 look like a hero to the fans and then get some of those things written into his next contract.....

In the meantime he could just go to dinner says he must be starving making only 21 million this year and go hang out with Lamb and Prescott let them pick up the checks for now maybe he should get a loan from them and no interest loan you know since they're his buddies since players aren't greedy and they just share their money with everyone...lol
