Micah: Take 'Em On The Island

Wow. So not only is Martin washed up. Now Micah parsons needs to shut up?

So our 2 best players don’t measure up in your eyes but talking about Dak in a negative way gets you going? Interesting take.
You can't handle the truth. The films don't lie. At least I have the guts to bash Dak when he messes up and doesn't show up. As for you? Not so much. That's the difference between you and I.

I think of the Khalil Mack trade from the Raiders to the Bears And subsequently to the Chargers.

The Raiders couldn't or wouldn’t sign him because of cap space and this once great players talents were wasted on crap teams that went nowhere…..I hope that Parsons career doesn’t go like this
Having MP under contract is like have that gold nugget stashed, always has value, brings value.
I want MP to retire as a Cowboy with rings on his fingers, but if his leaving is unavoidable, his price would yield high capital gain.

I'm putting Micah on a similar deal as Dak. Giving him this season to deliver on promises. Otherwise he needs to be traded. As good as he is on the field, he is not worth the upcoming ridiculous contract. Rather have the money and multiple draft picks. Those of you arguing generational talent this and that should go back and watch the second half of the season. Sober up and accept there are reasons why he didn't win DPOY.
I'm not sure about trading Micah, but definitely need to be careful about giving him top position pay. Micah had less total tackles (65) his second year than his rookie year (84), and he definitely wore down during the 2nd half of the 2022 season as you stated.

Can this guy just shut up, play a full 17 games, and maybe help win a couple playoff games before he runs his mouth off.

Yup, two 1st round picks should be a starting point……but I’d rather keep him too

Sounds easy but Q is on the wave,
Other teams will start demanding the hybrids and know their value.
Guys like Overshown are going to be valued more than ever, and Q has been stockpiling at a discount.
Would it not be a spectacular event to actually see the Cowboys receive draft capital in return in trade for drafting too good.

Nope. I bash who needs bashing. Parsons ain’t an issue at all. Literally the 3rd best defensive player in the NFL and wasn’t even built to play DE but did it anyways. And you wanna sit here and tell him to shut up?

Talking pretty brave behind a computer screen. Dak is not the one with the big mouth in back-to-back playoff losses saying he's going to show rest of team how to get out of 'em shallows but into the deep and take 'em on an island...while getting stonewalled in the most important game of the season.
Talking brave? Lol.

I can honestly say that I've had mixed feelings about Micah for a while. It reminds me of when the Cowboys acquired Deion Sanders. Yes I would concede that getting primetime shifted NFC powers away from the 49ers and back to the Cowboys for one season and enabled us to win the 3rd Super Bowl but OMG what a price we paid for the rest of the 90s. Lost our depth through free agency and what was left was a top heavy set of aging stars surrounded by below average talent. Deion wasn't the only factor of course, but I always wonder had Jimmy Johnson remained the coach whether it would have been necessary to make such a drastic move.

Talk is cheap. Where were the sacks (or any sack) against that same team you guys have lost to in back-to-back playoff losses?
If our O had put up some points and SF was playing from behind Micah and co. Would have opportunities to pin their back and attack, but when SF was leading and SF run-game was making yards in chunks it is difficult.

He got stonewalled by Trent Williams. Yeah, it would be smart to stay quiet. Others on this team don't brag when they get shut down. It's not a good look.

1 play throwing McGlinchey off his feet. Ok, but did Micah get to the QB and stop him?

The majority of the game, where was Micah? Even in the last tape I previously provided, Trent Williams was using his back to literally ward off/block Micah from making a tackle. I believe he did it two or three times in that tape. Trent Williams stymied Micah throughout the game...1 vs 1.
An elite tackle will almost always thwart an elite edge player. Williams allowed just 1 sack in 17 regular season games!

Your off the mark on this with Micah.

Ok, let's do it your way. Let's see...

The 49ers threw the ball 29 times, compared to running it 32. Pretty balanced attack but still slightly favoring the run as you insinuated.

Micah Parsons had 0 sacks since he supposedly had few passing play opportunities to help him get any sacks. Yet, according to you, Micah made up for it in tearing up that 49ers Oline and creating pressure and havoc the whole game. Ok, Micah must have had some big numbers in tackles and assists, right? What were his numbers? Hmm...only 1 solo tackle and 3 assists with 0 sacks and 0 interceptions.

Hmm, what happened? Those are horrible numbers for someone who said he's going to take 'em teammates into the deep and on an island while letting them know playtime is over. Either put up numbers like him, or ship out!

Ok, so where are the numbers?
If there is anything I've learned around here:
Don't argue with this guy.
He generally has a decent argument and whatever you're countering he's going to reject in every way possible.
Good poster. I like him.

Hmm...all sounds good and all...

But...

When it mattered most...

Goose eggs "0" (I'll let you guess which player I am talking about.)

The historic best pass rushers show up and make a difference during the playoffs...no matter who they are facing.

RESPECT! :bow: :thumbup::starspin:

Bro you know numbers can make a player not seem as good as their performance actually was. I have watched that playoff game several times at this point. Micah was WHUPPING mcglinchey and even got the best of Trent Williams several snaps. Go see what purdy average depth of pass was. You’re better than this bro, stop it.
When You Love Dak and criticize Micah . . . Stats are all you have. . . Unless Dak comes up short . . Then You blame the whole team and Coaches
