Micah's price about to go up again?

This is absolutely what Jerry has been waiting for, for ALL players to sign at said position, but first we have to say we don't have money, we want him to stay long term, HAS TO be a good deal for both parties etc etc, the player will not be at camp etc, then BOOM all is well, right before the game BREAKING NEWS said player has a new deal, history repeats itself!
 
Trade him. He will not be worth the money or trouble. Find some players that want to take the team seriously instead of playing with his plastic microphone. He won't even attend OTA's, yet wants to be a leader? A leader grows up, this kid hasn't yet.
 
Tons for a guy who has TONS left in the tank to prove to a lot of us that he's worth 40, if not, we'll have plenty to complain about (now and then, Jazz is smiling at me right now!!)

what did it mean though, it meant nothing if he wasn't going to be there the ENTIRE time, he did it just to repay shotty for being at his event. A real leader (dak) comes to all camp practices even without a deal. He can even just be a hold in, come there, be there, and not workout on the field, but workout off the field!
 
....Jerry should say, until you win MVP or lead NFL in sacks for the year.

Contract stays within real projections.

I wouldn't make that deal if I was Micah and my teams Owner supposedly ran the NFL or was the most powerful man in the NFL.

Jerry usually pays his big time guys though.

MVP or sack leader is something the player has no control over. All he can do is go do his assignment to the best of his ability.

It's like trying to get Mahommes to sign a reasonable deal unless he has won a Super Bowl(if he hadn't won one yet)

It's like the use of team stats to define a player and trying to claim they should take less money over something they have no control over. It's trying to normalize taking advantage of people.

You know that's a bogus deal for the player

Watt may demand as much or more than Garrett. That only pushes Micah's number up. Like him, his podcast, his mouth, or not, he is in the conversation with those two as the best at that position.

Prolonging the process never seems to workout in the Cowboys favor. For a team that loves to speak about "not wanting to set the market", and "letting the leaves fall", they always end up paying top dollar for their own guys.

Then they will talk out of both sides of their mouth as they brag about not being shy about paying their players, and how said player takes up so much of the pie that they can't make many more moves.

Rinse and repeat. Would love to see what being proactive may accomplish.

Unfortunately for fans, and fortunately for Jerry...

These top players are holding out as long as possible. It's in their best interest to do so unless they have an undisclosed injury and want to grab the bag asap.

Jerry has an out on the contract stuff. Plus...it's in the Owners and agents interest to slowly build up to the top players salaries during offseason. It's fair and prevents players being disgruntled.
 
You have to wonder what kind of extension they give Watt at 31. I'd say he has 2-3 good years left, including this one.

Why even draft in the first round if you don't want to pay guys?

It's not right to the player or their family..."sorry bud, we don't sign big time second contracts...we wear you out in first four years and let someone else pay you. Hope you like your new city"

It's just disgusting using words to cover up a negative action while also deflecting wrong doing "it'll just make you stronger, son" "be a man" "im making you stronger for it"

Me:

"Nah, you anti-social greedy pariah. I don't care about being a man in your eyes, I'm trying to live a decent, happy existence...not put up with your illusions"

The something for nothing stuff over running this board is the saddest psy-op to witness. Existence could be so much better with communication and a little less greed.

Are you making me stronger or you more money?
