Micah's price about to go up again?

Trade him. He will not be worth the money or trouble. Find some players that want to take the team seriously instead of playing with his plastic microphone. He won't even attend OTA's, yet wants to be a leader? A leader grows up, this kid hasn't yet.
When Emmitt held out the first year, I have to wonder if you were saying this exact thing? Or when he demanded 3 million a year after his first contract?

Just go get some motivated guy and he will fit in as the RB.

I'm certainly not for trading Parsons, but the Cowboys just won a super bowl, and Emmitt was a big reason why.

Curious what percent of the salary cap Emmitts salary was, and if its a comparable percentage

Sounds harsh but your not wrong. He's a diva, a phony until he shows otherwise. Getting the bag will only magnify what he is character wise. On and off the field. Nothing will get better but I'm hoping I'm dead wrong.

My Dad always told me money isn't the root of evil, but what's evil is the person WITH the money. Meaning money only enhances ones traits , good or bad. So what money does is remove the mask if you will, revealing the whole person. That's life and in business, sports. I've found this to be true in my own life.

You think your employer, assuming this is real, thinks you're not earning your paycheck because you spend a little time online?

It's a lazy take

One of the top pass rushers in the nfl is not worth the money? Trade him for cheaper, less productive players. Brilliant
You don’t even know who they’re trading him for, maybe at least someone who shows up down the stretch and most definitely in the playoffs.

Right...he is lazy waiting to get paid. All down hill from there.

No pass rusher has been more effective since he’s came into the league. He’s one player but you think he’s suppose to get 3-4 sacks every game I guess. You don’t trade elite pass rushers or QB’s because it’s too hard to replace them. Him not being already signed is on Jerry. He could have gotten lamb cheaper had he not drug his feet and he’s doing the same with Micah. Why woukd you trade him now and not even get the picks till next year? That’s crazy talk

Why even draft in the first round if you don't want to pay guys?

It's not right to the player or their family..."sorry bud, we don't sign big time second contracts...we wear you out in first four years and let someone else pay you. Hope you like your new city"

It's just disgusting using words to cover up a negative action while also deflecting wrong doing "it'll just make you stronger, son" "be a man" "im making you stronger for it"

Me:

"Nah, you anti-social greedy pariah. I don't care about being a man in your eyes, I'm trying to live a decent, happy existence...not put up with your illusions"

The something for nothing stuff over running this board is the saddest psy-op to witness. Existence could be so much better with communication and a little less greed.

Are you making me stronger or you more money?
If you aren’t gonna extend a guy you trade him after the 3rd year when his value is high and you do it after his 3rd year so you have the picks till next to replace them. But you sign elite players as soon as you can because it’s too hard only gets more expensive. Jerry is so afraid he’s gonna set the market but he still hasn’t figured out that setting the market ends up saving you money, rather than soneone rake setting the market you you having to raise it. It makes no sense to drag out every single deal

I think a lot of these top players are holding out, though a bit risky, to get the biggest bag they can.

Why take 34M per in 2024 when I can most likely get 40M in 2025. Over a four year contract that's 24M he is leaving on the table.

You will probably argue that securing 100M in guaranteed money and taking 34M is what you would do...and use a good excuse like "It's a violent game and injuries are common..so I'm securing the bag"

But these guys are still getting paid after injuries.

If Micah has a serious knee injury before signing...he's still getting a big bag from someone. He will still become very wealthy.

In my example, 24M is worth risking injury for if your still gonna be wealthy.

I think that's how these top athletes look at it and why a lot hold out now a days.

I agree it seems better to secure the bag early...but it seems like few top dogs are doing it these days

Jerry and Micah probably already have an agreement and just waiting so the Jones can collect more interest.

I love it when you expose your lack of knowledge about all things football.

This is the nature of things when the guy paying the bill is a sucker. Procrastination to seal a deal causes the price to inflate.

Has no bearing on Micah.
What if the offer is lower than what fans think Micah wants or will get.
Will it make his contract go down?

Well, we are talking about Jerry though. :muttley:
Could be like the Jefferson deal. Micah's agent may be waiting to see what Watt gets to slot in Parsons. Watt has had bigger sack seasons than Micah, but had only 11.5 last year in 17 games to Parsons' 12 in 13 games. They can argue that as a younger player in his prime, he deserves as much as Watt. Now, if Watt's contract is lower than Micah's, then they probably will just take the offer on the table as fast as they can sign it.
