Anyone catch the Seahawks game last night? He was all over the field. Announcers were saying he's been like that all pre-season. He was undrafted and may not make the final roster because of who is in front of him. They said he was up to 280. Wonder if cut, we would take a look and see about bulking him up for a DE position.

No.

We tried a brothers tandem with the Ayodeles and the Hambricks and it didn't work. 1 is enough, and in this case, much more than enough.

From what I remember of him in college, he's no where near as athletic as Martellus.

You want to put Martellus' brother in the same locker room as him? That would be a disaster! :)

I'm sure Martellus is lobbying for it right now, though.

Man, I'm glad you brought that up, I was watching that game thinking "damn, that looks like Martellus", then I saw the last name and thought it had to be his brother, they really look a lot alike.

My curiousity is now satisfied.

Cant comment on whether we should take a look at him or not because I don't know a thing about talent evaluation

Don't forget Emmitt's little brother Emory. He had a very brief stay as I recall.

I saw one preseason game where he was with the Packers. He had to be a fullback b/c he was a huge RB. Kinda slow though. Lumbering.

One other note about "Tell Us" Bennett. His brother, defensive end Michael Bennett, said after the Kansas game that he wasn't particularly overwhelmed by the Jayhawks.

"Nah, I'm not impressed," Michael Bennett said last Saturday night. "But I promise you when we meet them in the Big 12 championship, we're going to win the game."

Martellus fired back by saying, "My brother's borderline ********. ... I was about this far from being a genius. I was right up there with Benjamin Franklin. If I was alive back then with Benjamin, I'd have thought about the key and the kite stuff.

"Bill Gates stole some of my ideas, too."

Michael Bennett is a bit of a knucklehead. I saw him make some bone headed plays at A&M that cost them 15 yard penalties.

Then we should sign him up. He would fit right in with our penalty machines.

I don't think he was making dumb penalties like his brother. I know I wasn't making those comments. Marty B is a bit strange, but I never fell for the editing of Hard Knocks. I saw both play plenty of games at A&M. Marty played smarter ball than Michael.

So because the Ayodeles and Hambricks didn't work out that means the Cowboys shoulnd't ever try another set of brothers again ?

and what has Martellous done to say that 1 is more than enough ? (Implaying he's a bad character )

I saw the game last night and I was really impressed. He has an extremely quick first step. It seems that right when the center was snapping the ball, Bennett already had his foot in the backfield. Very talented.

and his brother has been playing well preseason without the dumb penalties... how long you going to punish someone for how they played in the past?

Here's a hint: 98% of this board doesn't either, but that doesn't stop us from doing it anyway :)
