Im in love with this dudes play. Im just dreaming of Crawford and Bennett lining up together at DT . I just think he's the perfect 1 technique and I'm absolutely salivating over this guy . Who else is with me ? and what other DT's are you guys looking at ?

He and Malcolm Brown are the only 2 I like but I think both will be gone by our 2nd round pick. Brown will most likely be gone by our 1st round pick.

Dallas has said the last 2 years they do not value 1 Techs. I know Bennett can play both spots and if he is BPA maybe they will take him at 28-32.
2012 Floyd and 2013 Jernigan they valued both as 1 Tech and said both were 2nd round grades.

I agree, seems like a pass rusher is needed first - but don't want to reach for one. Most mocks so far I've seen have us taking Calhoun from M.State. And either Bennett or Davis at DT in 2nd. That would be a great haul to start with ...

I dont agree with that view,a stout 1-tech who can really push the pocket is as valuable as the 3-tech.

Bennett is a 3 tech all the way....I mean he's like 285, don't think he would make a very good 1 tech. His game is all quickness and motor.

I think the question would be if he could play along side Crawford. My initial gut feeling would be no, so unless Rod/scouts feel he could be something special and he's clear BPA it would be hard to take him in my opinion.

I dont disagree with you. I'm just going off what Jerry, stephen, and Marinelli has said the last 2 years. Floyd in 2013 and Jernigan last year. All 3 have stated that a 1 tech isn't a 1st round position. They said it not me.

I like Grady and I think he can be had with our 2nd pick maybe even in the 3rd

I agree bennett is more if a 3 but he played 1 most the year. Ohio st. Didn't have a true 1 this year. I don't think they will spend a 1st round pick on a back up for the 3 tech.

I woukd rather dallas sign Paea than Bing back hayden. Or sign Paea and resign hayden and let mcclain or brent go. He hasn't done anything this year.

Not too sure about that....he made a few nice plays with his quickness, a nice spin move for a sack in particular. But I thought he got borderline manhandled in the run game. Which is why the idea of him playing 1 tech in the nfl is a little crazy in my opinion.

good point on 1 tech. i think he is strictly a 3 tech

Don't be surprised to see the Boys address DL in FA which may completely open up the draft board for the Cowboys. I'm thinking the Boys will be aggressive and hone in on 1-2 premier players to capitalize on the 2-3 year window before them.

are you saying that we will trade up? that would really suck imo,.trading up in the early rd is almost always not worth it .

No, the exact opposite. I'm saying that could give them the flexibility to not feel the need to simply focus on DL. So they could truly take BPA or trade down for more picks, if that option is available.

I should have noted they would hone in on 1-2 DL players in FA.
